at least they are nice enough to let it run stock android
Being neighbor of North Korea and Living in Seoul with airsiren are not so bad.
If North Korea uses Linux and Android, I might be tempted to actually move there.
Better 80s throwback than Blood Dragon
I love how they're showcasing (slightly) modern technology with a video that looks like as if it was edited in the 80's.
You know something's wrong when your phone is on an older version of Android than a tablet from freaking North Korea. dammit
Might be irrelevant but the BBC said some good shit about NK:
Last month we were being threatened with nuclear war by a 30-year-old despot with a bad haircut.
I'm pretty sure if you ran Quake on that, it would burst into flames. [editline]5th May 2013[/editline] I'm surprised they didn't use Windows CE 5, that's seems as up to date as North Korea.

"LOOK HOW DEVELOPED WE ARE"
First North Korea was sort of on the edge of launching a piece of metal into the sky and attack others and now they suddenly fell back and started to focus on education. Hm, good choice?

Did i hear YMCA?
When I saw the thread title I imagined Kim Jong-un doing his whole festival thing with the massive crowds and marching military, and then everyone stops and becomes silent as the Great Leader reveals his newest gift to the people... A vaguely tablet-like collection of cracked glass and plastic held together by hopes, dreams, and duct tape. I was disappointed to see that they borrowed so much from the inferior imperialist designs and even used Android.
who needs food, when you have tablets!
eat the tablets [t]http://www.cuteheaven.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/puppy.png[/t]

What I actually find most funny about this is that they show the actual Android logo.
I'll take 50
I've always wondered what 2008 technology would look like if it had been advertised with early 90's infomercial music and graphics.
wow its like their music never evolved. its the latest north hits 2013
NK's pretty big on Linux based OS', memory serving they also made a desktop Linux OS a few years back called Red Star, it's probably because of the whole open-source thing. In a way it's funny, they've got no qualms with pissing off pretty much all nations on earth, but copyright infringement is crossing the line.
do you understand what open source actually means?

It has a tiny nuclear device inside, so when all the Americans buy it, they're gonna push the button.
That style of that video, totally the 80's
It has a tiny nuclear device inside, so when all the Americans buy it, they're gonna push the button.
that would be pretty cool. Everyone would be like. "ooh whoaaaaa. North Korea just pulled some crazy mad scientist shit." "Oh man, America is a shell of a country! Whoa!" "Hey Kim, gold star! GOLD STAR FOR YOU" Then Kim is so happy, he cries because he is now being accepted by all countries for wiping out the great evil known as America. Then his head is a mist cloud of red, because some other country took the shot. He dies a hero and with a gold sticker on his chest. THE END.
Can you use it to launch nukes?
the narrator sounds like they have a gun pointed at their head
I believe you're describing south korea
NK has more potential They have more land Shame they are nuts
I love how they focus so much on the book reading app and give no attention to any sort of internet access abilities or keeping updated with news or current events, which is like 99% of the reason most people even get tablet pc's.
