• Google a leader in piracy: Rupert Murdoch

At least we know that the Fox News apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
So he somehow tries to implicate google with this logic, yet when journalists who work for the papers he owns illegally hack phones, he knows nothing about it and it has nothing to do with him, hmm?
Rupert's grammar is horrible.
Rupert's grammar is horrible.
Twitter; I don't really blame him. He's trying to make small messages.
Small messages with big impact.
There should be a law that prevents politicians over 35 to comment on the internet.
Murdoch isn't a politician
Ah well, at least he knows how to get past page one on google, found the first torrent result on page 5 and the first stream site on page 11 (being the second piracy related result I found) :v:
I just typed porn into Yahoo. Got porn links this must mean Yahoo is the largest porn distributor!!!!!!
I'm picturing Murdoch using the PC and wondering where he's supposed to put the coal in
Well to be fair he does kind of have a point, usually when you Google an album, game or movie you'll find a link to a site offering a pirated copy of whatever the content is. Not saying Google should go into censorship mode, but it does scream at you that piracy is there.
he may as well blame http for piracy
Google just finds stuff other people put up when you ask it, you can't blame it for piracy any more than you can blame road workers for a hit and run.
it's more like blaming garmin when someone uses their GPS to get to the address their drug dealer told them to meet at
I googled Mission Impossible and got nothing about piracy. I have proof. Seriously....who lets them get away with shit like this?!?
"Just been to google search for mission impossible. Wow, several sites offering free links. I rest my case."
What are all of these annoying people doing outside my window? *Sues window manufacturer*
It seems as if all the anti-internet/SOPA supporters are above 50 years old.
Im sorry people but hes right, if you google search "Watch 'X' " you will likely find it. Im not saying google is the pirate captain of the internet waves. But It sure isnt hurting the cause either. Edit: I rest my case

Just because you type in watch free snuff films doesn't mean Google is responsible for it. What you type into a search engine is your own responsibility and if you use that to obtain illegal materials, own up to it.
By that logic... Computers: Supreme Overlord Great Leaders of piracy
People: Masters of piracy. Ban and censor people.
His problem isnt so much with the people typing it in, its more with the fact the google is directly or indirectly aiding free utilization of created materials. I personally take no opinion, but am just playing the devils advocate so facepunch doesnt play lets all rag on the old guy.
People: Masters of piracy. Ban and censor people.
That is, In fact, The reason the Machines in The Matrix did what they did. Humanity could not stop pirating, And the machines reasoned that humans were the root of piracy, So the removed that root. Keeping us alive but not pirating Obviously they did not get them all, As seen when Neo enter Morpheus Pirated version of a martial arts training hall

Google provides a service which allows you to observe things. That piratable things exist and can be observed is not their problem. We cannot build microphones that do not allow idiots to shot hate through them or shovels that cannot bury hookers or give you contact lenses that filter the obscene. A thing which provides a morally sound observational function by design cannot be criticized by a failure to meet impossible standards to protect someone else's shit.
just went onto bing for- wait that doesn't work bing is shit just used my browser to download a movie, ban browsers
Ban computers! DVD players! VCRs! Anything that can record media, store media, play media, as they advocate piracy! :rolleye:
