Er, how do you measure disposition? Is this some new advanced form of neuroscience being exploited here?

Surveys?
Q. Are you miserable
hey guys im not fat what does more likely mean
I'm with u dude! playing games makes you hella popular and buff
No, just because I spoil the comedy of a thread doesn't mean I'm wrong.
A lot of gamers are actually in shape and social, happy people.
I mean, I could make an equally reasonable assumption that all red socks are itchy because the red socks I bought are itchy. Seriously, that makes about as much sense as their bullshit study.
Bloody scientists! I'd punch them all on the nose... If I wasn't so fat :(
Were looking at science at its best here people!

Welcome to the world of gaming. We generally like to put the stupid or ridicules option because its outrageous and funny.
Funny.

There is a difference between a "gamer" and a person who plays video games.
The difference is the same as the difference between someone who plays football and a football player.
One is a regular person with something to do in passing, the other devotes WAY TOO MUCH of their life to their chosen hobby.

welcome to the world of gaming where our fat rolls produce smug fumes that smell like cheese and feces

No, but saying there's a lot of studies that directly contradict this study (i.e. saying that gamers are more likely to be popular, happy, and athletic than the general population) and not citing any at all is pretty dumb

Nobody here is claiming that is not true, least of all the study. Did they teach you critical reading in high school?

You don't understand how a study is conducted do you
I don't think you understand the pun
I think he understood it, it just wasn't a good one.
i'm not fat and misearble
dammit
What's scary is that 45% of the 500 play games. That means a majority of 225 people are overweight and miserable. The study should just conclude that people from washington state are overweight and miserable.
But seriously, one of the worst studies ever.
Studies show 67% of statistics are made on the spot.
I therefor claim bullshit.
I just realized how Ironic this post is.

you do not understand how surveys work
And they had to do a study to figure this out? :v:

No I do, when I said "they should just conclude" I meant, if they came to the ridiculous conclusion that gamers are overweight and miserable, they should say the same about people from washington state because that is still a huge percentage.
I play games 'cus I'm a fat 35 year old.
gamers ARE overweight and miserable
Well...I'm fat, not 35 and not miserable....meh....1 out of 3...idiots...
I've been done playing games since 2006, though I do play on occasion though. And I've been way less depressed now that I'm more social. You should try it to, socially inept, fat nerds! :D
Am I the only one who hasn't met one fat, depressed super unsocial gamer, and all the gamers I know are like... Addicted to them, yet regularly socialise
