You don't say second minute hour do you?
twenty minutes past x hour, or 30 seconds past x minute, but then you don't normally mention seconds anyway.
No you didn't.
Prove it.
Who is this 9/11?
damn what happened on 9th of november ?? this happened
American Month/Day is based upon sentence structure: September 11, 2001 (9/11/2001) European Day/Month is based upon traditional identification of: 11 day, of 9th month, of 2001 (for obvious reason, nobody actually talks like that). And now back to Afghanistan Citizens confusing US and Soviet Troops.
"We did what? With airplanes!? Dude, don't joke abo-Oh...you're serious?"
9/11 was caused by Saudi Arabian, Emeriti, Egyptian, and Lebanese terrorists... Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia and the co-leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is from Egypt. Al-Qaeda is operated globally. The Al-Qaeda was chased out quickly, now there is fewer than 100 in Afghanistan.

They were almost out of people in 2003...the Coalition had nearly wiped them off the planet...but then Bush went into Iraq, and we chose to ignore them for 6 years. They've had plenty of time to recruit or enslave more soldiers since then...
Sauce
No doubt they are weak. But considering how many we smart bombed in the past 9 years, that isn't suprising. Lots of the actions we do there breeds anger amongst the locals, who COULD possibly see us as foreign invaders and eventually side with these guys to fight us off, like the Soviets 20 some odd years ago...
Many locals do see us as foreign invaders, Ridge. The Soviets didn't piss off anyone but the Islamists. Most Afghanis loved their new state, women got rights, schools, roads and wells were built, the military was being stabilized, etc.
So shouldn't it be year/month/day by that logic I always see month/day/year used which is absolutely retarded.
It is because, when spoken, it easier to say "September Thirteenth" than "The Thirteenth of September."
Did anyone cover that Afghans don't know English either? Bomb them!
This was needs to be fought with KNOWLEDGE *rides away on a rainbow*
So shouldn't it be year/month/day by that logic I always see month/day/year used which is absolutely retarded.
Elitist bullshit, it is no different AT all from day/month/year Get over yourself, your dating means nothing.
Fuck all y'all dating systems, UNIX time is the best: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time
Why put the month ahead of the day... Day month year. It makes sense :colbert:
Really? You're going to try to start a shitstorm between eurotrash and amerifags? Stop it. Stop it right now.
The Soviets didn't piss off anyone but the Islamists. Most Afghanis loved their new state, women got rights, schools, roads and wells were built, the military was being stabilized, etc.
Source???
It is because, when spoken, it easier to say "September Thirteenth" than "The Thirteenth of September."
No one say's "The Thirteenth of September", they say "Thirteenth September", which is more grammatically correct than "September Thirteenth", because Thirteenth is used as an adjective. You don't say "the tree green" do you, no, you say "The green tree".
who COULD possibly see us as foreign invaders
Well, aren't we? We would only be liberators if the populace sees us as such, and as far as I know, us blowing them up for reasons they do not know about gives us a pretty bad image amongst non-combatants.
Holy shit a country that is largely made of people living in closed off tribal circles doesn't know about something that happened in America? Wow, I'm like really shocked right now. [editline]20th November 2010[/editline]
Well, aren't we? The Taliban aren't exactly the nicest bunch of guys on the block. It's still not worth the time, money or lives though.
It is because, when spoken, it easier to say "September Thirteenth" than "The Thirteenth of September."
$13 Dollars thirteen. Yeah writing =/= speech. Ascending or descending magnitude makes sense, and is easily identifiable because of the 4 digit year, mixed magnitude makes no sense. And FYI, many people actually do say the thirteenth september. particularly outside of english.
Source???
Go look up the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
But I think the army's reaction was a bit harsh: distasteful joke.
But I think the army's reaction was a bit harsh: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/AvT.png[/img_thumb]
Irrelevant. They don't know WHY it's there.
2010/11/20-17:59:20 That's how I format time, it's the more logical way of doing it.
Why put the month ahead of the day... Day month year. It makes sense :colbert:
Because most Americans write dates as: Written Month, Day, Year. i.e. September 11th, 2001 [editline]20th November 2010[/editline]
2010/11/20-17:59:20 That's how I format time, it's the more logical way of doing it.
12:11:08 11-20-10
ITT: Everyone surprised about how American date stamps work. Seriously, did nobody even tell them why we were there in the first place?
damn what happened on 9th of november ?? this happened
Wow, they look so casual in that video. Sipping wine and talking about baseball.
ITT: Everyone surprised about how American date stamps work. Seriously, did nobody even tell them why we were there in the first place?
I'm pretty sure the Afghani people could, after ten years of watching Americans hunt for militants, figure out why they're here. Probably "to hunt for militants."
