Peter Jackson wants to make The Hobbit into a trilogy because making two long movies of one short bo

I want some flashbacks to the silmarillion but that will never happen :(
I wish Middle Earth was a vital part of our society that could be expanded for all eternity with its own history parallel to ours and never get bland because it's one of those things I get sad about losing in the end.

Tom Bombadil
now that's a name I haven't seen in ages
If it weren't Peter Jackson, I'd have severe doubts about this. But I trust him before any other.

Should turn that into it's own trilogy. That would be fricken awesome.
yes but it is short and peter jackson likes to make 3 hour long movies
there really isn't that amount of material in it
It's a book, of course there's enough material in it.
I'd rather have 3 long movies with all sub-plots and details than one movie with non of those.
too bad the movies will look like a budget steadycam home video because its being recorded and shown in 60fps

The silmarillion would need a decrilogy. Unless you like sitting in the cinema for 12 hours a piece.

Ugh, really? I know it isn't logical, but high-fps shows and movies drive me insane.
next up: peter jackson makes each lotr book into its own complete trilogy arriving at a total of nine lotr films.
What others said, this might be the last time (He stated that himself in several The Hobbit BTS video's) that this is the last time they do a movie in the LotR universe.
I'm okay with this

I think your math is a bit off.

We've gotta move away from 24FPS SOMETIME, it really doesn't give cinematic editors a lot of leeway and it's just a bullshit old standard based on the capabilities of old film projectors.
Quite frankly, 24FPS movies just look slow and jittery to me.

48, not 60.
