Anyone here wanna find the International Facepunch Board of Breast Inspection?
I'll get to working on a diploma for that! And a badge, so I can easily inspect while I'm about.
Rand Paul has certification from a different board. Stop watching MSNBC guys. Seriously.

Yall are acting like he isn't liscensed. He formed his own board which certifies hundreds of other doctors because he didn't agree with the AMA policies. If anything he should be commended for taking action.

Ayn Rand Paul seems to think he can, however.
You can't? He did though. And he makes a healthy living. So.. What?
Well for one, I've been privileged to see how terrible our healthcare is run, the horrible consequences of our social programming and how much money we waste on them. What pains me more is the taxes I have stolen from me to pay for this programming that I don't use, the healthcare where I sat in the hospital for 5 hours before the bleeding stopped on it's own and I went home, the garbage service that runs once every other week and which the workers strike all the time, causing the parking lot to our recreation centre 4 blocks away to turn into the temporary garbage dump that stinks up the neighbourhood. Having our public transport charges go up in price almost every year. I am of the "working class" if you want to call it that, and I go to one the the most academic schools in my city. Apparently I am the perfect candidate for being a leftist, like many of the others at my school who are all fully ignorant of politics, yet I am not because I am morally against stealing others hard earned money. When I got laid off from my job I could have applied for unemployment, but I didn't because I don't want to leech more from our already overwhelmed system. My mother works for a recreation centre the specializes in helping disabled children, they don't see a dime from our government, who are too busy spending thousands of dollars to set up commissions to see whether it is more environmentally sound to use paper or plastic coffee cups. [editline]11:56PM[/editline] I think you still misunderstand my sarcasm about the system that you would rather have.
Hi my name is CriticalThought and I learned how the government works in 1st grade. +1 ignore list

So like.. a private security firm? DERPTY DERP
So like.. a private security firm? DERPTY DERP
You seem to be completely missing the point. Just because you don't agree with what's established doesn't mean you can just simply create your own version of it. For instance, I can't go around with a gun shooting and arresting people because the police won't have me. Just like you can't decide to form your own health board and approve yourself because you got rejected by the AMA.
I respect your viewpoint however I disagree with it. A police officer cannot go around shooting people randomly either. A regular citizen can shoot at people legally depending on the situation and arrest them too.. but that is not the point. The AMA is a privately owned organisation. Rand Paul also owns one but it is not as big or widely accepted. That being said, it's nothing to marginalise someone over. Rand Paul was never rejected by the AMA, he just disagreed with it's policies. The notion that he was "too lazy" or "too dumb" to do the exam for it is outrageous. He's an eye doctor, doctors are smart people. 876Fearless, let's use another example. You can't go invade other countries just because you think you can do it better than the military. Doctors, like the military, have organizations/branches of government in charge of regulations because fucking up can end badly.
So like.. private military contractors? And yes companies like blackwater are in countries that the US military is not. Google it. EDIT: also why are we even discussing this when clearly we should be talking about alvin greene

That's my point, so is Rand Paul's board. He still has to follow the laws and regulations set in place.
Just in my opinion, I don't think it's possible to not be credible to be a representative. I think anyone should be able to be a Congressman if they can get enough people who would vote for them. I certainly don't think you need to be a lawyer or career politician to be in Congress. Congress should represent the people, not the rich ivy-league graduates who need a job doing something.
He doesn't represent the people, though. Give Rand Paul a position and he'll use it to give every right and freedom to the big corporations while the regular people suffer from their inevitable screw ups. Don't forget, Rand Paul said that business should be allowed to discriminate, that Obama's criticism of BP was "un-American" and that in the case of the Virginia mine collapse, that "sometimes accidents happen" and that we shouldn't blame the company despite countless safety violations. I hope Rand Paul loses, but gets a lot of publicity in Kentucky, because it will repel all the moderates when they start seeing the true face of the people trying to represent their party.
Rand Paul has certification from a different board. Stop watching MSNBC guys. Seriously.
A board he founded. He cannot legally practice medicine anymore, and could be charged for practicing without a license unless the AMA approves whatever certification methods his "board" is using. He does actually have a legitimate MD, though. So at least he isn't a complete fraud. Also, to be fair, he's fucking crazy enough where he probably actually believes that this is a completely legitimate thing to do. [editline]10:25AM[/editline]
That's my point, so is Rand Paul's board. He still has to follow the laws and regulations set in place.
The laws and regulations set forth say you have to be certified and licensed by the AMBA.
Yes, and free market capitalism is a horrible system because of that. There is nothing to protect minorities from the tyranny of the majority.
That's not true, because you just described one of the few functions the federal government should have.
That's not true, because you just described one of the few functions the federal government should have.
Something Rand Paul doesn't want the government to have power over, so what is your point.
I don't rely on public transit, I use it when it's convenient to. To be honest I think the public transit is good, I just think it's fucking lame that they tax us and make us pay increasing tolls to use it. Also unless you are saying the government only uses taxes to fund two programs, I think the contradiction is in your post.
The tolls i would have to agree are ridiculous. But I use public transport, public aid as well as public education in my daily life. If I didn't, I would literally be homeless.
I'm not rich and I don't support communism!? I must be retarded!
Doesn't necessarily make sense. But communism is a favoured economic system. I'm thinking more... socialism.
Or a plant from the evil capitalists who need to spread their misinformation on internet forums. You guys already do enough of that.
No idea what you just said.
If you knew anything about Islam, which you don't, you wouldn't be so sarcastic. Islam is a theocratic political movement.
It's a religion lol. dude, you see, unlike you, I actually OWN a copy of the quran.
That's not true, because you just described one of the few functions the federal government should have.
In a true laissez-faire system, the government wouldn't even regulate things like anti-trust. Leading to really fucked up things. (e.x. Standard Oil) This is the type of system that Randal "Rand" Paul seems to be in favor of. (Really, he took the name Rand? Really?)
Rand Paul has certification from a different board. Stop watching MSNBC guys. Seriously.
First of all that board was his own, read the article second of all, it wasn't MSNBC
