But.. but blackpope :c
Argentinian pope? the Falklands have had it.
Another white old man.
Pope Francis I confirmed as his papal name
Annoys me how norway, and probably many other countries, on that map in the OP is listed as christian majority because of how you're basically considered christian when you're baptized. (And you don't exactly choose that when you're so young.)
I'm probably listed as christian, but it's just not correct.
In 2012, 82.6% of Norwegians are counted as christian, while a poll in 2005 revealed that only 32% believed in a god. That number has probably decreased as well.
I don't know anything about Norway, but i can only assume they get their statistics from a national census that the government does
So that's it, he is the pope ? Eh underwhelming.
there's around ~2.2 BILLION Christians on this globe and I'm sure that there is still a huge number of them that would follow onto these sort of things, so the position of Pope is still pretty fucking important nowadays since he is responsible for leading all of those people. Talk about a huge constituent.
These stats are often botched because even if you declare yourself as an atheist, your records of your baptism will still be used unless you request to be excomunicated. Additionally a great deal of christian in the western world are not really that engaged in religious affairs. They have faith, but are not actively involved in the church.
jesus wikipedia is FAST.

"quod esset Oecumenico materia"
Despite being agnostic, I almost raised my arms victoriously when I saw he was Argentinian.
I mean, our country is terrible, so I'm glad this restored hope for great people now.
