I'm seeing one face with green/red (green being mined away), one face is all green, another all red.
They need to get their shit together
Wait you guys are on a green layer? I'm on an orange layer with a red one underneath.
I've heard that all these issues are to do with the Yogscast creating a video about this. Or at least, that was the issue at first.
Wait.
What if the guy who'd found the centre was a billionaire, who'd just bought enough stuff to be able to get to the centre in minutes? And when he got to the centre, he was given one wish.
And he was such a sadistic fuck that he said his wish was for nobody else to ever get near the centre, and for the cube to reset.

Do android and iphone have different cubes?
Do android and iphone have different cubes?
They shouldn't.

anyone know what percentage of it is left?
anyone know what percentage of it is left?
There's an undisclosed amount of layers, so no.
They shouldn't.

Then they should get on fixing their shit, because something is seriously wrong if everyone seeing a bunch of different stuff.
I'm calling it now. The message at the end is probably
Curiosity killed the cat.
Well that or
Ur a faget.
that's it
in the center of the cube lies Schrödinger's cat
we will finally learn the truth
Why is the shop icon grayed out?
There's an undisclosed amount of layers, so no.
That reads like.
"We are going to dynamically alter the number of layers so that we can milk the microtransactions as much as we possibly can."

I wouldn't be surprised if they set it up so no matter what it runs for as long as they want it to, and just add layers until a certain date is reached. At least it stops any potential cheaters.
Whoever finds it is going to be a cunt who won't reveal it
I would totally do this just to see idiots pour to your every internet orifice, facebook, every fucking forum account, and gmail. Overflow them and the poor servers hosting the forums and websites with private messages begging you to show them what you got from the center.
Then I would disconnect myself from the internet and move to a cabin in the middle of nowhere with no connection and watch the world burn.

Did you miss "subject to latency"? ;-)
For some reason I believe Timecube will be at the center.
anyone get the diamond chisel?
also
"Apparently there are 64 billion cubelets in total, making around 2,000 layers, and each layer must be fully removed before the next layer becomes available."
I really can't understand why people are playing this. It practically screams 'gullible'.

it's a curiosity cube
what's not to like
I really can't understand why people are playing this. It practically screams 'gullible'.
Cleaning up the cube is hypnotic.
It's appealing to the OCD market that enjoy games like Dungeon Keeper, Populous, Evil Genius and any tile-based building game for the possibility to clean things up or put things in a grid.
And of course it appeals to anyone that are curious about what's at the end of it.
It worked for me on the day it came out and has not worked since. I just get the same 'error accessing server' message everytime I try.
I would enjoy this game had it not ruined two programmer's health.
i bet the very inside of the cube is something like a paragraph about how awesome humans are for being curious or some shit
"Congratulations, humanity; your curiosity was the driving force between your rise to power, the thing that drove you to harness the power of fire, to invent the wheel and the crossbow and the printing press and the computer, to go to the moon and to mars. And now you have used this amazing gift of curiosity to tap boxes on a screen for hours and hours in the hope that some amazing, world-changing thing would be behind them, all because some guy told you to.
During this time you could have been doing productive things; you could have read a book or painted a picture or talked to a good friend, but still you tapped. Some of you gave me money to tap better. Thank you for that. The money is going to go directly into my next cocktease, Peter Molyneux's Curiosity Dodecahedron, where you tap a bunch of layers of pentagons until you get to the center."
It was all just an elaborate experiment by Peter, you see.
He wanted to know what lengths the people playing, fueled only by his vague promise of a superduper secret "reward" in the center of the Cube that only one of them could unlock, were willing to go to... how much money and time they were willing to shell out... in order to be that one victorious person.
It wasn't just about making a boatload of money and reaping tons of self-satisfaction though.
Above all, Peter wanted to see how much attention he and his little game could get.
It was he who was really the curious one all along.
I would enjoy this game had it not ruined two programmer's health.
I can assure you that pretty much every indie game has had its share of sacrifices. Even though crunch time is something you should combat in the game industry, it doesn't stop indies from trying to maintain the same service and support as big companies do in order to stay competitive, and to build the games they love.
I hadn't been able to get on for three days, finally got on this morning and it's covered in writing, is it Alice in Wonderland?
I'm still enjoying it anyway, tapping my screen repeatedly is keeping me awake in some of my less entertaining lectures.

Where are their servers? Pluto?

if there are 2000 layers, i expect Molyneux to make a press statement about what was in the cube in 6 months
Thankyou Mario but our princess is in another cube
