Funny how Trump would judge anything of one sided
Good thing he wants to "open up those libel laws" so that pesky "free speech" nonsense eventually won't be a problem anymore! :terrists:
When Trump says that, There is no National Libel Law, The supreme court even when it was fully conservative said no, Free speech is a guaranteed right.
Oh jeez, just wait till he finds out about South Park.
SNL hasn't been funny since the Farley/Sandler/Spade era. But they're nailing the Trump stuff
Yep. Alec Baldwin's impression is spot-on, and that's why Trump hates it as much as he does.
Someone needs to slap some sense into him that now that he has the presidency. The media is NOT going to let up on his ass and that goes double for those doing comedy. There is no safe space. You will be judged from now until you leave office. If you can't take the heat, tell the electoral college to vote for someone else. Viacom would be insane not to let them do it.

He's going to be judged from now to eternity. Even once he's dead and gone, historians will debate the worth of his rule. We still have discussions about the mistakes and merits of Roman emperors from two thousand years ago. Trump could count himself lucky if we stop judging him after a mere few centuries.
Does he not realize he can't talk like this when he's the President? Is this a joke? Is it just acceptable now for the President to whine about everything on Twitter? "I'm gonna work hard for all Americans, but look, your show just sucks, period."
Nope, he'll just sue them into oblivion using the legal framework he set up specifically to sue people that portray him negatively. And the best part is, Breitbart and Infowars have tricked his followers into believing that free media is a bad thing by telling them it's controlled by the boogeyman, so they fully support him in revoking freedom of the press.

Don't care about the future because everything every president did is going to be judged, picked apart, and shat upon then.
I still can't believe this man is going to be our president. I mean he's not wrong, and this is coming from a guy who considers myself primarily liberal. Making fun of Trump is like the bottom of the barrel in terms of comedy. I also don't understand why people act like he can't give an opinion on it just because he's president.

And there is very little more culturally relevant right now than the election results. And yeah, of course he can have an opinion. But he's reportedly been blowing off all kinds of important transitional work (he hasn't even called the Department of Defense), so having the free time to whine on Twitter gives the impression that he's not taking the Presidency all that seriously.
I mean it really doesn't matter that much. He makes one opinionated tweet, and suddenly it becomes a news story. Then people proceed to over analyze it and act like it's a big deal. So what if he's president. If he didn't like their skit, what's wrong with saying that. Obama called Kanye a tool and people didn't make a fuss over it. I don't even like Trump, but people are too quick to attack him over insignificant shit. Save your criticisms for something that actually matters.
This is silly, you're criticizing people over something you agree does not matter, telling them not to criticize things that don't matter.
If you want to criticize his opinion that's your prerogative. If you want to write a twenty page essay on why Trump is an idiot for tweeting against SNL, I'm cool with that. To each their own opinion. I'm just saying that in my opinion I feel it's stupid to criticize him over this. It feels like scraping the bottom of the barrel to decry Trump.

Sure, lets ignore shit like that
Hold trump accountable for every stupid and awful thing he does.
He's going to be ridiculed as long as he keeps making live or internet reactions at every attempt at humor at his expense, because he's dropping to their level and thus ripe for further humoring. Only way to undo that is to either ignore them or play along.

I don't really have any problem with your distaste of Trump, I'm not hot on him either. That just feels irrelevant to him giving a short opinion on SNL.

He needs to be above this shit. He will be rightly subjected to a huge amount of scrutiny in the coming years because he has a job a third of a billion people depend on. A comedy TV show should not elicit a butthurt Twitter response from him.

If he can't handle something as small as being criticized on SNL, at a time when he's supposed to be organizing the transition of our government, how will he handle actual serious criticisms when he's the President? He's wasting his time insulting people on Twitter. Whining about Hamilton, whining about the "failing NY Times", whining about this... It's neverending. All through his campaign and before, we heard this shit. His hands, Ted Cruz, failures Romney and McCain, rigged election. I just want him to take the job seriously. Can we just start from there?

The more often people nitpick what Trump says, the less likely Republicans are to listen to opposing arguements. I know I sound like I'm standing on a soapbox right now, but that's just how I view it.
Hey Trump remember when you hosted SNL and said "There's a reason I'm on SNL and the other Republican candidates aren't, it's because I can take a joke" What happened?
I'm sorry but are you telling me Donald Trump said something, but didn't actually mean it and later flipped on it? Well I for one am horrified that this pinnacle of trustworthiness would do such a thing.
If he can't handle the criticism of a comedy show how is he going to handle the criticism of other countries? He's all for being buddy with Russia but what if Putin says something that pisses Trump off? People feared Hillary would start a war with Russia but it seems Trump's hotheadedness is more likely to start one.
I mean I didn't know that, and that's dumb of him to do that, but that doesn't feel relevant. Trump's response to criticism of any level or intensity is to lash out with anger, accusations, and insults. He escalates the situation to a more bitter and personal level. Every time. This is important because he is now our country's chief diplomatic entity. How can trust him in dealing with the sensitive conditions of international diplomacy when he can't even take a few light jabs from a comedy show without staying up all night writing angry tweets, demanding apologies and insulting the performers?
someone should show him World Peace, that's the "equal time for us" he's looking for
