China stronk also it means there's more chance for people to go to space now!
The only ones I know of its that you can't claim land or "air space" (space-space?), and that there's certain weapons you're not allowed to station up there I don't know about the legality of moon bases though.
It's been talked about for years now. I actually have an old proposal from SAIC for one on Mars complete with diagrams and personnel organization propositions. For research purposes and colonization, IIRC, was the idea. I need to dig that out of my basement and scan it. Or at least parts of it; it's a hefty read. I've got another one concerning hypotheses on the Face on Mars (it's really, really old-- before we ruled it a natural formation).
It's not magic. You don't just throw it into a combustion chamber and light it on fire.
Yes it is This is exactly how Helium-3 fusion reactors work I'm a nuclear physicist with three published books on Helium-3 reactions you can trust me, just go ahead and light helium-3 on fire
I don't what Helium 3 is or what we would need it for but hearing about people trying to go to space is neato.
Helium-3 is a light weighted, non-radioactive isotope of helium (2 protons, 1 neutron). We'd use it for clean fusion reactors/engines, with the fusion of Deuterium and Helium 3. Typically, we want helium 3 due to Tritium and Deuterium fusion creating helium, but also a neutron instead of a proton. That one neutron brings with it containment issues, and energy loss. With Helium 3 and Deuterium, we'll get helium, and a proton. The closest source of Helium 3 is the moon. It's a very rare gas on Earth. The Sun does emit Helium 3 due to its Hydrogen fusion, but, the Earth's atmosphere blocks the gas from getting through, but, the soil on the Moon has been absorbing it for, billions of years. i think this is right :v:
