The opinion that every life is equal isn't any more delusional than the opinion that it's okay to stop going by your own moral standards whenever there's someone nearby that did a heinous thing, imo.

I'm susprised that this man wasn't shot by the police. In my view that had justification since he was threatening people and charging them.

They did shoot him, armed response police came and shot at him, wounding him, then arresting him.

From what I recall he started rushing them as soon as the cars actually turned the corner the police barely had any time to get out of their vehicles.

The POTUS, The Queen, fucken Bill Nye himself are still just people. Their status shouldn't cause a murder charge to change otherwise we're making one rule for some people and another for the rest of us unimportant plebians.

Now other charges however, there's not much stopping those from being applied. Treason, terrorism, etc.

Still, it doesn't excuse abusing the accused once you do actually lock them up.
