ME3 was okay imo. only bad part was the ending, mostly because kc whoever and that bald fuck basically wrote the entire thing themselves without getting the team to look it over. also hamburger helper. in terms of gameplay (excluding tortanic because that fucking thing ruins my opinion's credibility), bioware's recent games have been great.
ME3 was an alright game, i enjoyed some of it at the time, but there was a lot more wrong with it than the ending. No real choices through the game, only about 12 non-fetch side quests compared to over 30 in previous games, several plot points make no sense, galactic readiness has no effect on anything and is just a random number with no meaning, things like what appeared to be cardboard cutouts of people running in the first level of the game, a complete lack of any sense of it being a galaxy-wide fight that everyone is loosing, your choices in previous games don't matter at all etc. To me most of the characters felt like there were just there and meaningless. Still, they did make the first two games and they were good. I think ME3 just failed because of EA and that they had to think of it all themselves, with W40K there would be most of it already done for them, so i don't think they could make something as bad as ME3 (and GW wouldn't let them ruin W40K)
On one hand it's Bioware. On the other, Games Workshop is very protective and would probably bash their head in if they start fucking it up. Last few BW games have been shit though. I have some hope that GW will keep BW in check and the game will at least be decent. On the other hand, you could have Ward teaming up with the BW writers, and it would be the end of civilization.
do i need a high Tactical Genius skill to get the Tzeentch sorcerer lord to bolt pistol himself in the head does using Renegade Interrupt get me declared Excommunicate Traitoris is fucking a Sororitas heresy or loving devotion to the Emperor we'll blam okay? can i tell the High Lords to fuck off during a hololink conversation can i mine planets with cyclonic torpedoes can i load the Suicide Mission party with nothing but Guardsmen (and one las pistol so i can blam the cowards) can i punch the annoying chronicler servitor in the CPU
So apparently every article, including OP's, links to that blogspot entry that says:
According to a reliable source within Bioware [...]
Yeah nah unless it's confirmed by at least 1 different source, I'm treating this with the same skepticism as any news based on Kotaku's "our source says" articles. Like that "Dead Space is cancelled!" thing that turned out to be nothing.
Another wh40'000 shooter eh.. Space Marine's campaign was mediocre at best, and the multiplayer was straight up horrendous. I also hope they expand their views a little and feature, like, TAUs, Necrons, Tyranids..

really guys youre just gonna make dumb references to gay marines or w/e? as if warhammer doesnt already have a shit load of gay tension, there's an entire faction thats basically the space marines all BDSM'd up. how about the fact that bioware for whatever reason can't manage to fucking do RPG's correctly anymore??? i mean for any other company its fine to have some screw ups because RPG's can be difficult to make. Bioware however practically reinvented RPG's with baldur's gate so there's literally no excuse for them being unable to actually make an RPG anymore. i mean Dragon Age: Origins already had me kind of going "uh", but after that i dont even know what bioware was anymore. if you can only think of LGBT's when you think of criticisms of bioware, then you probably suck really hard and don't know what makes a good game anyway.
kuro. is the reason why i hate all men

wow look at all of the ea published games workshop-licensed games! (not including warhammer online: wrath of heroes, and warhammer: dark omen)
i was mostly refering to warhammer online which wasn't exactly stellar, and i throught mark of chaos was from EA, turns out its from namco/black hole welp.
Cautiously optimistic. this could go really well if bioware- make an Inquisitor rpg. Keep the story and characters within the tone of 40k. Dont fucking try anything romance related. At least try to find voice actors who sound like they belong in warhammer 40k. ...... [sp] we're doomed [/sp]
No way in hell they'll use British VAs (Or British-sounding ones) despite that being the accents that best suit WH40K (Don't believe me? Play Space Marine and tell me that the British Accents don't make it. Titus' especially) Oh god this is going to be terrible, whyyyy Bioware? I mean, I used to want an Inquisitor RPG in the style of Mass Effect, until Bioware did ME3 and DA2

I have hopes that Bioware won't fuck this up but..... Please don't make another mass effect 3 ending. Where you get to choose what colour beam the exterminatus will be.. Also, I don't know how Bioware will work their usual 'good or evil NO BETWEEN way' into a 40k setting since the Emperor is both evil and good in ways also
Oh god gay space marines please don't do it
COCKS FOR THE COCK GOD
COCKS FOR THE COCK GOD
a new slaneesh chapter is born! well at least slaneesh won't get neglected in every game anymore :v:
Also, the multiplayer from ME3 was great. A 40k spin on that could be cool, as part of something bigger.
This makes me now ALWAYS ANGRY ALL THE TIME
i was mostly refering to warhammer online which wasn't exactly stellar
WAR was alright and EA only published, Mythic dev'd it. It's downfall was it never had the right number of players needed to make a 98% PVP based game work.
Can I romance a Necron?

COCKS FOR THE COCK GOD
a new slaneesh chapter is born!
isn't that p much Emperor's Children already
Well I'm going to kill myself now. God damn it I miss you so much THQ.
Can I romance a Necron?
If you're a Blood Angel you can Bromance them. But Goddamnit Games Workshop, when are you going to give Relic a fucking licence to do Battlefleet Gothic, I mean seriously, devs noted for a space strategy game and you dont give them that licence, you be tripping.
Can I romance a Necron?
Well, if Love can Clang is any indication...
Can I romance a Necron?
Nemesor Zahndrekh thinks he's still a Necrontyr. Good luck doing anything with him, though. Edit: still, you can do a lot of things with hands, I suppose.
What a bummer. I was hoping for CA to adquire the rights (since they have the ones for warhammer fantasy). Just imagine a 40k total war, massive battles, a milky way campaign map and, of course, Horus heresy expansion. :(
Bye WH40k. Nice knowing ya. fuck me.

Oh no..
Oh yes I heard about that, the gay planet. Probably ended up coming off more dignified than most of the actual story though.
God the whole "PLANET GAAAYYYYY!" thing was sensationalized to hell and back. Is not like they said "THIS IS TEH PLANET WIHT ALL THE GAY PEEPLE ON IT" for fucks sake. You are given a mission to go to a planet to try and halt a militaristic Hutt cartel expansion. When you arrive, you're given a team that will help you on your mission, and in that team, there's a homosexual character. That's it. Its not like its a fucking planet where they quarantined all the gays. Its just you have a gay person in your team while you're performing you mission on the planet. But no, calling Makeb "PLANET GAY" was just the thing people needed to do to get people to read their articles and spark a whole lot of unwarranted controversy.
To be honest I have doubts about the truth of these news. AMong other stuff the fact that they say Bioware has aquired the license, when bioware is not a seperate entity and merely just a segment within EA.
