I like 40k's or Diablo's type of grimdark, where the universe is filled with evil of unimaginable power, but the protagonists are badass enough to match it. Unlike the other kind of dark fantasy where it's basically like normal fantasy, but someone gets raped every other chapter.
and 40k basically boils down to NOBODY is the good guy, some are lesser evil than others, but none of them are particularly nice.
In b4 mass effect type game
It wouldn't be so bad if the main character was an inquisitor and went around doing inquisitorial stuff with the required ultraviolence.
~snip~ have you ever seen a religious brick wall with gigantic shoulders with like no emotions besides "i love you emperor" and "die heretic?" yeah that's basically a space marine [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] also, wh40k nerdos: don't know how accurate this shit is, can anyone vouch for it?
I don't know, I always liked these drawings better. The armour in that anatomy picture is too thin, the space marines a bit short than I what I think is the standard for Space Marines.
Watch as orks are now rape machines, the children of the emperor chapter turns entirely gay, sisters of war are the biggest sluts and the entire plot of the games are centered about killing one of the chaos deities in the warp only to find out that it was a ghost child all along.
no, the Necrons are reawakening and they're actually controlled by an infant Old One AI and Orks are dying off from a fungus-killing genophage virus
Nah actually you play as a Chaos worshiper and you can choose between 3 gods (not Slaanesh to keep up with the current trend of his non-existence in video games). The color of the ending is determined by the associated color of your chosen god. Nothing else changes.
Id laugh my ass off if the game included the emperors children chaos marines, and when they showed up in their usual hyper-sexualized, vox casters everywhere BDSM manner , less informed and not as nerdy fans started pointing fingers at bioware.
I can't wait to play the Shepard equivalent of a Space Marine that you can somehow make female. And to find out that the Emperor is now somehow a space child. Or how you have to unite the races to face a Necron threat or some shit like that. In all fairness though, as I don't have any real hopes from BioWare anymore (fuck 'em) I can hardly see it dissapoint me. They can always try though.
Plus the Gothic splendour that is the Imperium. Is merely the Emperors porch.
Considering Emp's palace is most of the northern hemisphere, that looks awfully small for a porch. [editline]Edited[/editline]
no, the Necrons are reawakening and they're actually controlled by an infant Old One AI
Words cannot describe my bafflement.
I can't wait to play the Shepard equivalent of a Space Marine that you can somehow make female.
This is why an inquisitor game would be ideal, the inquisitions operatives are so varied that you wouldnt have to sacrifice customisation to remain lore friendly.
This is why an inquisitor game would be ideal, the inquisitions operatives are so varied that you wouldnt have to sacrifice customisation to remain lore friendly.
If you can't decide, "fuck it, I declare exterminatus on this imperial world." then the game will be a failure
Not even Khorne and Nurgle would consent to this shit. Hell, even Malal couldn't come up with a more devious faith.
Not even Khorne and Nurgle would consent to this shit. Hell, even Malal couldn't come up with a more devious faith.
Tzeentch probably has something to do with this or, more likely, this has something to do with Tzeentch
Tzeentch probably has something to do with this or, more likely, this has something to do with Tzeentch
All we know is it went Just as planned. Apparently.
can we all promise none of their stuff will be considered canon please
