If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Especially if it's 2 years old and cancer isn't cured yet.
Its from december 2007, origin of its as a rave on the internet dates to like January, as wikipedia says its not got the support from pharamacutical companies who could make big bucks from it so it cant foot the bill to pay for phase3 trials.
I got excited and had a mini research on it :p
http://www.thedcasite.com
That site is an 'open source' phase 3 trial From the spreadsheet of results it seems that atleast 50% of those who completed the survey had doctors support.
Edit: - Noticed i was beaten by a guy above with that site because i didn't refresh the tab :/
This sounds too simple to be true.
I wonder if this simply doesn't really work, or it was really suppressed by the pharmacy giants.
Well, I think I would be able to make some dichloroacetate on my own, so if I ever get diagnosed with terminal cancer, I will make some and try it.

Exactly. What's the harm in trying something with minimal side effects and being a potential cure to a severe malignant disease?
Well, as much as it is a cure, it is an expensive cure.
You need to think about how many people get cancer, the money just is not available to buy these treatments.
So basically a cure for cancer also has the requirement of being cheap to make and easy to mass produce while also buying the shareholders a new villa each.
I think i could get cancer sometime but now since theres a cure YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
I rate you a clock because this is too late for my mom
If only this came out about ten years ago.
I can't believe it's been ten years.
:frown:
I was happy, until I saw the date

Actually this chemical is so cheap and simple it's not even funny.
I feel bad if that really did happen, but I laughed anyways. I'm torn inbetween a heart or a funny but I think I won't give either.
Anyways fuck yeh Alberta

Fuck man, this thread got me excited that there could be a cure for one of my cousins. :/
I like how they dumbed down the concept enough for me to understand it.
Nope, they explained it pretty well.
It is called learning.
In a short time we'll all hear about how this fails and gives you cancer. God damn.
I Am Legend
Oh, please, I hope it doesn't come down to that.

Well, if you already have terminal cancer, there really isn't anything much to worry about, is it?
Hurray, U of A
It has a remarkable 60% positive feedback on recent trials from the data in thedcasite. I think that's good enough to call it a cure.
all that comes to mind is I Am Legend
Where's that one comic strip when you need it...

...
I think I'm going to go and have a cry now.
There are quite a few cures for cancer, but they are still in the product pipeline and being tested for side effects, meaning they won't be available to the public for 5-10 years.
Not sure if you guys saw this, but here:

Cancer kills too many people for it to be a good thing for it to be cured in my honest opinion.
Being able to cure everything is not a desireable reality.
Isn't there a cure for cancer found all the time? Even so, pharmaceutical companies will buy out patents so they can keep selling chemo treatments. It happens every time :(

Except that this drug's patent has long since expired.
