• Zimmerman trial: Neighbor testifies Trayvon Martin was straddling Zimmerman moments before fatal gun

To appeal to parents and appear as a loving father type. Maybe cynically I should say to appeal to the black voters but that would be inaccurate. Funny, Obama was almost praising a guy who has evidence of saying a racial epithet and then attacking the person it was aimed at, that would usually have people screaming racist.
In other words, he was just fishing votes from the blacks.
Zman? It's starting to all fit together now. Seriously, as soon as Obama got involved (son looking like Trayvon, which was a pointless statement) people are calling for Zimmerman's blood. Check Twitter for the people talking about rioting, sad state of affairs. Edit: Jesus I picked the most homoerotic wrestling picture available didn't I?
Too be fair, the police should have at least investigated other then just taking Zman's word at first. [editline]4th July 2013[/editline]
Why'd Obama go and say that anyway
For votes.
Prosecution rested today. I believe the defense is making a move for acquittal.
I don't understand how an average case of manslaughter continuously garnered such massive (inter)national attention for seemingly no reason at all. American society and media confuses me.
Media sold it as a racial crime
Prosecution rested today. Looks like the prosecution is/was desperately trying to make circumstantial evidence look valid now (or maybe a while ago, since this was on HLN). The defence just absolutely brutalized them in their acquittal thing.

Apparently the prosecution thinks Zimmerman has super human thinking abilities. [editline]5th July 2013[/editline] Judge denied the aqitual request
Why'd Obama go and say that anyway
Because NBC's yellow journalism convinced everyone that the crime was a racist one. Obama figured he could squeeze some more black and more father figure votes in there with that comment. Gonna be a huge gaffe when Zimmerman walks.
If Zim walks I am actually scared of the potential riots just like with Rodney King And so far it looks like he has a good shot at being innocent
The main issue was the fact that it was never investigated. Even if you are an ardent Zimmerman defender you have to agree that someone being shot in the street deserves atleast an investigation by the police rather than just taking the shooters story of self-defense at face value. The story wouldn't have been nearly as big if the Sandford PD had treated it like an average case of manslaughter (or self defense) to begin with.
there was a reenactment video that showed the police investigating the day after, are you blind
If Zim walks I am actually scared of the potential riots just like with Rodney King And so far it looks like he has a good shot at being innocent
Considering the amount of tweets saying that if he's found innocent these people will 'find a cracker that looks like Zimmerman and kill him', I wouldn't be surprised if there was some uproar.

Bit of an update, now that the trial has resumed. A forensic expert has affirmed several of Zimmerman's claims. Sorry for the Fox News source, but it's the best article I've found so far.
Earlier, a forensic expert testified Tuesday that Martin's gunshot wound indicated that he was likely on top of Zimmerman when the neighborhood watch volunteer shot him. Forensic pathologist Dr. Vincent DiMaio, an expert on gunshot wounds who has written and co-authored several articles and a book on the subject, said the single shot that killed the Florida teen passed through Martin's clothing as it hung 2-4 inches from his skin, indicating that Martin was over Zimmerman and leaning forward. "If you’re lying on your back, the clothing is going to be against your chest," DiMaio testified. "So the fact that we know the clothing was 2 to 4 inches away is consistent with someone leaning over the person doing the shooting." DiMaio also testified that Martin likely remained conscious for 10-15 seconds after the shot, and may have been alive for as long as 3 minutes, according to the forensic evidence. DiMaio stated that he agreed "100 percent" with the firearms examiner, who concluded the weapon was discharged against Martin's clothing; and he explained the gun was fired 2 to 4 inches away from the skin, according to powder tattooing around the wound. "My opinion is that that muzzle of the gun was 2 to 4 inches away from the skin," DiMaio testified. "So, the barrel of the gun was against the clothing, but the clothing itself had to be 2 to 4 inches away from the body at the time Mr. Martin was shot."
For votes.
He said it in March, you dinkus. Unless he's planning on running for a third term, I think we can rule out "votes" as his motivation.
So now you have eyewitnesses and experts saying Martin was straddling Zimmerman. I'd say the odds of second-degree murder as it is defined in Florida being stuck on Zimmerman is next to nil at this point.

If people are hearing that, and have a CC license, then who knows what will happen. I just hope it's not chaos.
Wait, did someone on CNN say Racist, or someone you were with? This is vital.
I said those things, someone near me said racist. If someone on CNN said racist, that'd probably be broken into a media frenzy [editline]9th July 2013[/editline]
Why would you even watch CNN? imo all the evidence is circumstantial. Its just zimmerman's words vs peoples opinion
imo all the evidence is circumstantial. Its just zimmerman's words vs peoples opinion
more like zimmerman's words and everyone's testimony vs opinions some people formed literally minutes after the news of the death broke
imo all the evidence is circumstantial. Its just zimmerman's words vs peoples opinion
and yknow, all those testimonies
I think today was a very key moment for the defense. Everything the expert said suggested that Zimmerman was being assaulted and harmed. I think the prosecution is finished at this point. Zimmerman is walking.
The Zimmer truly cannot be simmered.
Zimmerman is gonna have to get in some kind of protection deal after this whole thing is over if(when) he walks. Bloody idiots with an itchy trigger finger out there.

People'll believe the stupidest shit yo
My dad actually thinks he's gonna try and get congress to rework the constitution to let him have a third term, and he's serious about it. People'll believe the stupidest shit yo
Pah, why bother getting congress involved, he'll just executive order himself right up to Shogun or whatever it is the Islams worship
I'm not the one to talk about the innocence of Zimmerman but the facts as of now are on his side, so it baffles me how some people still discard all that and even think about rioting, what would that even accomplish? Is this like a football match where people pick a side? Shouldn't everyone strive for the most fairest system, where facts are used and all the rest is left behind?
