how stupid are you people for turning a very disturbing case of violent instability in our society into a bullshit story about how a mcdonalds worker "dished out justice" by caused people harm with a metal rod. it's fucking sickening.
but they were skanky hoodrat hos they weren't even attractive! imagine if genders were reversed, because that happens a lot genders getting reversed spontaneously
come on zeke pull the cat out of the bag that's exactly what we mean we believe unjustly that when slapped and faced with a volatile situation the best thing to do is grab the nearest object and cause grievous bodily harm to others. shame on us for being so not-blood thirsty. Hobo4President is right, in a just society everyone beats the shit out of each other. truly the great thinker of our time.
Okay, so from this we can see thisispain would just sit back and allow these two people (possibly armed) to beat him instead of standing his ground and defending himself. This is not a disney movie, people who are this aggressive could very likely be carrying weaponry. Personally I wouldn't beat them while on the ground, I would run away after knocking them down as to get away from the situation as fast as possible. That doesn't mean I can't understand why he did what he did.
I failed to answer them because I don't like repeating myself over and over again But just for you babe I'll do it What evidence was there that they had weapons or would be able to acquire some after they were on the ground? When you're using self defense it's your responsibility, by law, to use only the amount of force that is necessary for the situation. If you don't have any reason to believe your attacker is armed you are not allowed to attack them as if they are.
Again you are simply quoting the law as if it is perfectly right. Personally I believe he was well within his rights to keep hitting them as to stop them potentially grabbing weapons.
Again you are simply quoting the law as if it is perfectly right. Personally I believe he was well within his rights to keep hitting them as to stop them potentially grabbing weapons.
you know what you're right in fact I think he was irresponsible for letting them live, only a dead person can be guaranteed to not grab weapons even then there could be some residual twitching so he should have lit the bodies on fire immediately after
imagine if genders were reversed, because that happens a lot genders getting reversed spontaneously
yeah i'm glad the gender experts amongst facepunch brought that up!
you know what you're right in fact I think he was irresponsible for letting them live, only a dead person can be guaranteed to not grab weapons even then there could be some residual twitching so he should have lit the bodies on fire immediately after
y are you rating dumb dude I'm agreeing with you you've won the argument
you know what you're right in fact I think he was irresponsible for letting them live, only a dead person can be guaranteed to not grab weapons even then there could be some residual twitching so he should have lit the bodies on fire immediately after
You really like hyperbole, don't you? Attempting to make my argument look flawed by blowing it up to ridiculous proportions. I could do the same to your argument if I wanted to.
how stupid are you people for turning a very disturbing case of violent instability in our society into a bullshit story about how a mcdonalds worker "dished out justice" by caused people harm with a metal rod. it's fucking sickening.
Still going with the theory that it was honest self defense that turned into blind rage. He definitely went over the line with the beating's but I hope he gets the rehabilitation he needs rather than another cycle through the prison system.
You really like hyperbole, don't you? Attempting to make my argument look flawed by blowing up to ridiculous proportions. I could do the same to your argument if I wanted to.
Hyperbole is thinking that a woman with a cracked skull or broken arm, on the ground, being stood over by a man with a metal pole is still a threat that needs more beating to subdue
Okay, so from this we can see thisispain would
thisispain would not work at mcdonalds thank you very much
but they were skanky hoodrat hos they weren't even attractive! imagine if genders were reversed, because that happens a lot genders getting reversed spontaneously
Okay, that completely justifies an eye for an eye, arm, and leg.
Don't get me started on the blonde lady. She was making the situation even worse by causing panic with her bitchy screaming. Oh my god. Screaming STOP IT STOP IT does not fucking help, are people that retarded?
Yeah, the blonde woman was annoying. No, it didn't help the situation, and it may have very well made it worse. However - I don't think she was a bitch for screaming that out. She might not have ever seen a fight like that. Seeing people get into serious physical fights in front of you is extraordinarily confronting if you don't grow up with that kind of thing. She probably just did the first thing she could think of, which was to yell, and keep yelling; I doubt she was weighing up in her head the potential pros and cons of doing so. It might look stupid to us, sure, but a lot of people would have done what she did. It doesn't make her retarded.
Okay, that completely justifies an eye for an eye, arm, and leg.
absolutely, skull and arm for a sore face Hammurabi came up with it so blame him
He definitely went over the line with the beating's but I hope he gets the rehabilitation he needs rather than another cycle through the prison system.
idiots aren't limited to facepunch so i wouldn't get your hopes up.
I really wanted to play some gran turismo tonight but now I'm stuck in this shithole again fuck it I'll read the babble later
Still going with the theory that it was honest self defense that turned into blind rage. He definitely went over the line with the beating's but I hope he gets the rehabilitation he needs rather than another cycle through the prison system.
I hope that, too, but I doubt he will. When you think about it, given that he's killed someone before and was in prison for 10 years, it makes sense that he snapped.
Hyperbole is thinking that a woman with a cracked skull or broken arm, on the ground, being stood over by a man with a metal pole is still a threat that needs more beating to subdue
You are making it seem like the woman was just lying there on the ground and he was continuously hitting her, while it is clearly stated in the in the article and shown video that he was yelling at them to stay down and hitting them only when they try to get up.
The video, one minute and 10 seconds long, shows the cashier hitting the women 10 times as they lay on the floor. The cashier would pause and begin again every time the women tried to get up.
this is what you are rating winner, facepunch. if you don't feel embarrassed there's something wrong with you. [editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
You are making it seem like the woman was just lying there on the ground and he was continuously hitting her, while it is clearly stated in the in the article and shown video that he was yelling at them to stay down and hitting them only when they try to get up.
it's almost as funny of a post as it is sad
this is what you are rating winner, facepunch. if you don't feel embarrassed there's something wrong with you.
I am sure many, just as I did, came into this thread after reading the title, scanning the article, and then watching the video and making a snap judgment to rate/post without really watching it through. The more I watch it the worse it gets to the point where I definitely know that went well beyond self defense. Does that mean he intentionally said to himself "I am going to seriously injure these people with this metal stick"? We will never know. I'm betting it was a "heat of the moment" kind of situation.
this is what you are rating winner, facepunch. if you don't feel embarrassed there's something wrong with you. [editline]15th October 2011[/editline] it's almost as funny of a post as it is sad
If you are in this situation, you can allow the two assailants to get back up if you want. I wouldn't. I am not risking injury to myself by allowing them the chance to get up and use weaponry against me.
If this guy gets life sentence, I'm gonna feel so damn sorry for him. Guy's probably had a pretty bad life.
All 3 of them should taste pavement, but that guy deserves a few extra years.
I think people who record these videos should include their perspective on the incident because they tend to be the most open minded when these things occur.
If this guy gets life sentence, I'm gonna feel so damn sorry for him. Guy's probably had a pretty bad life.
He definitely won't get life, that would be retarded and I'd actually travel out to the city to protest that. I respect this man for doing what many of us have wished we could do to many people in the food service industry, including myself.

you guys really need to calm your shit
it's amazing how emotionally removed you are. even more disturbing is that you're placing yourself into the situation. do you derive enjoyment from fantasizing about it?
I like how you personally attack me, stating that I am emotionally detatched. While in fact I am the one who has the ability to empathise with the cashier. As I said earlier, I would not beat them, I would try to escape the situation as quickly as possible but it doesn't mean I can't empathise with the man and understand why he did it.
you guys really need to calm your shit
why are you posting this garbage?
why not?
While in fact I am the one who has the ability to empathise with the cashier.
oh yeah you're a real poster boy for compassion. you're right i'm the one emotionally detached for not empathizing for a violent sociopath.
