There are other people who work at McDonald's too. He wasn't anywhere near alone. Do you think his coworkers would just stand there and watch him be attacked? As Peavy262 said, they would have restrained the two women, not beat the shit out of them with a metal rod.
If you watch the video, they made no attempt to restrain them as they jumped over the counter and chased a fellow employee.
like the person a while back who said he worked in fast food and would love to do what this guy did as an example. that's just terrifying because i know a motherfucker like that probably works at the mcdonalds near me.
Of course. Enjoying doing something like this is evidence of some psychological issues.
One slap is not "very violent". If they had a weapon, why would they have slapped him? And if you watch the video, after the cashier gets slapped he throws a punch. Thats when the two women go over the counter.
They are very violent because they jump over the counter and begin to chase him. He doesn't throw a punch, he pushes one of them back.
like the person a while back who said he worked in fast food and would love to do what this guy did as an example. that's just terrifying because i know a motherfucker like that probably works at the mcdonalds near me.
How is that terrifying? In order to conceive that as an actual threat, you'd have to have the mindset that you're going to incite the employee by verbal threat and menial physical gestures.
Oh my god. You really like to pick random words out of sentances and ignore the rest of what I say. I never said he was a hero, or praised him for what he did.
talking about the whole thread not just you. just imagine you are in a big group and i'm on a podium yelling at the whole lot.
How is that terrifying? In order to conceive that as an actual threat, you'd have to have the mindset that you're going to incite the employee by verbal threat and menial physical gestures.
He is saying he is scared there are people possibly working at your nearest fast food stores who would actually enjoy beating you to submission.
How is that terrifying? In order to conceive that as an actual threat, you'd have to have the mindset that you're going to incite the employee by verbal threat and menial physical gestures.
well i'm a human so i'm cursed with judgement. i knew this one cocksucker who just hated women. one time i was with some friends of mine at this school meet-up thing and we talked about rape. this cocksucker said that women who get raped deserve it because he was insane. two months later he violently raped a very close friend of mine and drove her to suicide. maybe it's paranoid but i tend to be a bit cross when people display these anti-social views. that's why i get lit on facepunch about it.
That's the justification cops use to shoot unarmed black men.
"unarmed black men" get the fuck out, you're intentionally being a hussie now [editline]16th October 2011[/editline]
why do you have to side with anyone? why can't you be normal and go "oh fuck motherfuckers be crazy as shit in new york" and go on your way? why do you have to defend the cashier on the internet? this is why i'm terrified because you're trying to convince me that this is okay for some reason that i really don't wanna know. you guys are assholes because you're making this guy out to be a big hero when he's really just a big violent jerk who needs to get help.
pain, i'm not saying what he did was okay, but he isn't a big violent jerk big violent jerks provoke people, what he did was take his self defense too far and that is bad but he doesn't need anger management classes when he isn't the one that's angry in the first place
big violent jerks provoke people
is that really the definition for big violent jerk because i don't agree
yeah men are so oppressed in this day and age it's ridiculous we're being slaughtered by the women daily we need to do something
I mean, this shit man can you quit being an arrogant douche all the time and realize sometimes the normal roles in situations like this are swapped?
I mean, this shit man can you quit being an arrogant douche all the time and realize sometimes the normal roles in situations like this are swapped?
don't be a party pooper
is that really the definition for big violent jerk because i don't agree
what about that Australian kid that threw that guy over his head onto the ground was he right in doing that? no, obviously not, that kid would've died if his neck hit the protrusion that was like, three feet away from where he landed. do I think Casey (that's the kid's name I think) is a violent heaving savage that deserves jail? no, not really. this guy went too far, and perhaps the whole notion of justice is a little too far, but I'm not going to look the cashier in the eye and tell him he's a bad person because of what he did [editline]16th October 2011[/editline]
don't be a party pooper
if he's gonna tell facepunch their flaws I'm gonna tell him his
don't be a party pooper
This is not OIFY. Stop shitposting. I know it's hard-to-break habit of yours as your shitposts spans throughout every thread that consists of debating, but I'll be more than glad to break it for you :)

Seems a little odd. Anyways, those people probably deserved it. Not in legal terms, they were probably assholes to begin with in general.

Can't say that they didn't have it coming when they jumped the counter and slapped the worker, but I can't say that the by the worker response wasn't excessive. They're all assholes I guess would be my point.
This thread... just wow. I've seen some stupid shit, and i have instigated some REALLY stupid shit at times, but this is full blown retarded. Zeke why do you argue just to argue?
I like how people argue against the guy as if they have been a similar situation themselves... which they haven't. Put them there at the assault of two dumb bitches, put a metal rod in their hands, and I guarantee you that you'll get the exact same results. "ommgg no he shuda stopped at 1 hit srsly!!!!"

"ommgg no he shuda stopped at 1 hit srsly!!!!"
Or some people would have the sense to not beat someone to a hospital. Your scenario is hypothetical and baseless so it doesn't really matter.
I like how people argue against the guy as if they have been a similar situation themselves...
i certainly have, a violent situation isn't rare by any means. i would not do the same thing and i can bet you most people wouldn't do the same thing either. [editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
I'm not going to look the cashier in the eye and tell him he's a bad person because of what he did
but why? he did something very bad. the circumstance do not excuse the actions. we don't excuse a murder just because he said his mom is a bitch and hit him one time. if the line is murder, that's a line that got very close in this situation and i don't think we should excuse that. certainly not applaud which was disgustingly done in this thread right from the very beginning.
Seeing as I haven't been in this argument: The whole point that I see not getting across is that despite it being a bad scenario and the employee did not start it, the employee is known to be violent and reacted with near-lethal force in response to something that was not a big threat. The circumstance does not justify his actions.
i certainly have, a violent situation isn't rare by any means. i would not do the same thing and i can bet you most people wouldn't do the same thing either. I don't think that hitting them on the floor continuously was necessary but we can't see if they had a weapon because it's blocked by the counter. The entire situation was clearly set off by the two women. All they had to do was order their food and sit down to eat like normal people. Normal people don't assault employees, jump over the counter, and then chase them into the back area of their store to continue assaulting them.

I personally believe the first portion was justified. He had numerous attackers in pursuit of him. He attempted to flee the scene and was not the one that caused the incident. He had a right to defend himself against several attackers and could argue he felt he was at risk of serious bodily harm, which would warrant the use of the improvised weapon he obtained. However, the strikes after he obviously stopped the threat were not justified and that was all going overboard. His strikes stopped the threats immediately and it should have ended then and there. My guess is he was either agitated or scared, which resulted in the repeated strikes. The lesson here is simple. Don't tell anyone to "Do something." because eventually, they will. Don't chase and corner people, especially one wielding a metal rod. Although what he did to them in the end was a bit overboard, I honestly have no sympathy for them and I am simply saying they got what was coming to them. They pulled their shit on the wrong guy.
I personally believe the first portion was justified.
I think most people here agree with this.
We still don't know what happened behind the counter, one of the women may have pulled out a knife or have been kicking/punching him in the legs. As far as I'm aware, they wholly deserved the justice they received.

If one of them was reaching into a coat pocket (perhaps for a phone) that could have been easily misinterpreted as someone reaching into their pocket for a gun or other weapon. I sure as hell wouldn't take the chance with someone who'd already acted aggressively towards me.

Meet Zeke129, internet keyboard warrior who is so cool-as-a-cucumber that, when faced with five assailants, he informs them in a logical manner they should use disposable latex gloves when handling the weapons so that their fingerprints are not found at the crime scene. After leaving the assailants perplexed, he proceeds to call the police. One retaliates by reaching into his pocket. He pulls out a wonderful bouquet of flowers, which he gives to Zeke for helping him get back on the straight and narrow.
[editline]15th October 2011[/editline] your posts in this thread are the worst I've seen
You're an absoulte idiot.
Well I can assure you you're not alone in letting critical thinking go straight out the window while in the process of beating someone into the hospital
Don't say you'd stay calm and collected. You wouldn't.
