No More Medal Of Honor If It Doesn’t Sell 3 Million Units
They have a good idea, they just need to make it compare to the CoD series.
Perhaps, but from a lot of what I've read and seen about this game, they're trying far too much to make it like CoD. Being able to compare it favourably with the likes of CoD should not mean making it as ridiculously similar as these guys are trying to. Okay, yeah, it's a good idea to keep track of the big fish out there, but start copying said fish and people will begin to notice, even if it only happens person by person.
In my opinion, EA screwed the pooch on the new MoH the moment they decided that it had to be like CoD just in order to attract customers. Even then it probably won't work because some retards will inevitably come of the opinion that "hurrdurr, CoD came first so MoH copied it hurrdurr".
EA really should learn when to just bury the hatchet, they were getting better before recently with a string of decent, different games (i.e. Mirror's Edge - not brilliant, but certainly a different spin on the genre, Dead Space - quite good, had some pretty decent elements to it, but granted, more like the recent RE games than anything else). It's like the 'evil empire' situation all over again.
You know how you could switch things up to make a World War II FPS different? Put it in the Axis perspective.
That'd be a decent idea, however I think too many people would be offended that you play as a Nazi even if they made the protagonist one of the reluctant conscripts :/
I want a Inglourious Basterds game.
Multiplayer would be a hide and seek variant where one player plays as Hans Landa while the rest are jews and have to hide in basements etc.
Allied Assault was the first online game I played.
Same here, hell i still have my Medal Of Honor: War Chest pack.
Not buying it, EA already is ruining Medal of Honor with this even though they made great classic games. Frontline with one of the greatest soundtracks and Rising Sun with awesome multiplayer.
Are they threatening me?
Are they threatening me?
Lol. Customers are supposed to threaten the publishers, but in this case EA is threatening the customers..
"Buy our god damn game or we're not making another."

Oh, then I've got an excellent game idea!

EDIT: Seriously, the gaming industry should grow some balls and make games about serious issues and events to bring us new perspectives on history (not "controversy" as in random violence like a fictional airport massacre). I would honestly buy a game where you play as a nazi conscript with doubts about the ideology and moral choices comes into play.
obviously if they don't sell those copies, they'll go 'hurr it's because of piracy'

Bonus mission, salute the fuhrer at a rally
Good idea, I got the beta, for free, that is. It really lacks in shit to do. Just team deathmatch over and over again.
It's a beta. An early preview so they can alter the game. They then make it better.

Why's everyone hating on a game that's not even out, wait to see if it's any good ffs
The game had a few problems but it was actually pretty good.
I'll be buying it.
Solely for the enhanced version of Medal of Honor: Frontlines that it comes with.
So then what next? We can't touch the Iraq War, Six Days in Fallujah(sp?) showed us that.
Oh wait modern...well, Veitnam, The Forgotten War...actually that one would be interesting.
I'm not really tired of Modern War games. I'm just tired of them in FPS, I love WiC.
A war game from another perspective other than an American one would be refreshing.
Why can't we get some space shooters? I'd love a Battlefield-style game with LASERS. We've all seen the future scenes in Terminator 1, and we all love lasers.
Give us fucking laser shooters, dammit, and not some shitty Star Wars title.
omaha omaha omaha vietcong rebel fights africa
realistic, dramatic survival-horror of a soldier behind enemy territory
escape from the PoW camp
WWI
civil war
there is so many wars and things in war you can make a game about, experiment goddamnit, spend some money EA. Just because modern warfare games sold well doesn't mean another fucking game is going to be another bestseller
It's because most other wars don't have cool tanks and large explosions which sell so well.
They had their chance to make this MOH good but they fucked it up by making it another modern war game. Should have been something original, like the Vietnam War.

No one buy it, No one! Money Hungry Giants need to be starved from time to time to make them earn their money next time around
You can't tell me what to do!
Plus, megagames seemed to clean up the place. They used the same template and spam bot filter for 10 years.

naw, the template has changed a very little bit. I remember checking this website once in a while, which was many years ago and it looked worse back then.
Why not, everyone already did that with the Unreal series
The first Unreal game was for the PC.
Why not, everyone already did that with the Unreal series
You should google things before you start speaking stupid.
Uh... you do realize they are running a business and need to profit from their project... while the company does care whether or not it is considered a "good game", making an actual profit is much more important.
That's not greed, that's common sense.
The fact that they are threatening to cancel the series if they don't reach 3 million sales is just a low thing thing to do...
I just wanna know if EA is seriously expecting to pull something like that off.
With all the manufactured "controversy", I'm sure they'll hit that target in the opening weekend.
Medal of Honor: Frontline (great memories ahoy)

As silly as the whole premise was, World in Conflict did a great job on the whole Cold War issue I think.
Article sounds like they are trying to guilt trip people into buying their shit knockoff style game. Bad company 2 graphics and animations, mixed with game style of MW2.
Medal of honour series used to be my favourite games back in the PS1/2 days. I'd always play with my brother on splitscreen. It's really sad to see these good series going down the shitter so it satisfies MW2fags.
No one plays MoH. We're all for CoD.
