No More Medal Of Honor If It Doesn’t Sell 3 Million Units

MoH2010 is shit.
the live action trailers are the dumbest shit
How am I an asshole because I realise this is just an attempt by EA to make serious cash off MW2 popularity? I'm sorry if I want to see something original, made with passion.
You seem like an intelligent person, so you should know that passion usually does not go into anything that's going to get sold to people, or if it does, it's pretty short lived. People only make stuff like this because there's money involved, period, not even Valve is above this, though some of you may argue differently.
Using myself as an example: I am a story-teller, not that I'm much good at it, but I enjoy it, usually when I get an idea, I rush right back home, get on Word, and start typing. Then after about a week of pondering and typing some more, the flair fades, withers, and before I know it, a month's gone by and there's a 6-10,000 word creative writing piece in My Documents that's not going to be read by anyone, or me for that matter, and eventually it's gone. Now, I'm not a game developer, nor do I know anyone in the business, so for all I really know, I could be wrong about the passionless-development thing in terms of video-game development. I'm just going by my own and others' work experiences, and in literally every case, the fun and excitement dries up within the first week if not the first day.
As for the cash-in subject, I doubt there is anyone here who didn't think when this was unveiled: 'yeah, this is a cash-in'. Not even those few of you who are defending this at present, whether you're doing it here or somewhere else.

IMPOSSIBLE I ASK TOO MUCH OF GAME DEVS
If you're not going to say anything, don't bother replying.
What you have just thrown out for all to see here, is the exact same reply I get when I ask anyone, and I mean anyone what they'd like to see in a game, or why they like said game. That is not an answer, that is a placeholder while you frantically find time to actually research a proper response. And by the time you'll have one, everyone will have tuned out pretty much anything else you have to say on the matter.
Simply put: Define good gameplay, define memorable music, why don't you just spill out everything you think makes a good game? Maybe then someone from EA or Activision or one of their studios will happen to stumble upon your reply and you know, perhaps suggest putting these features into their next project? People spouting off replies like you are the reason we are seeing so many generic shooters as of late, the game developers don't know precisely what people want besides CoD-style mayhem. If people actually spoke their fucking minds for once instead of giving half-assed responses like this, maybe you'd see a game in development that would meet your standards.
Alright no, if it's only you who likes x when everyone else wants y then no one's going to listen to what you want, that's just how business (and the world for that matter) works, majority wins, majority sells. Still, even if you're in the minority, that doesn't mean you should just throw a fit and give up, which I'll be brutally honest with you - it seemed like you were doing just that when you typed this.
TL;DR: My friend tried to make Bonk! Atomic Punch IRL, suffered a heart attack and almost died.
Linkin' Park for the soundtracks?

Fuck you EA bastards. You do everything you can to crave even more money and fans.
I still don't get the problem with playing the taliban, in COD you play terrorists.
Even the russians should sue the game companies because they're always picked for the "general bad guys".
Sounds like an obvious attempt to drum up sales by suggesting to people that them buying the game could save the franchise, despite no real proof that fans are walking away from the series...
Where are our good old WW2 shooters now? Call of Duty went MW, Battlefield went MW and I doubt they'll make a WW2 game in a long long time if ever, and then MoH was dead for about 5 years untill they finally came back with a MW game.
It's been done to death.
After reading through this thread I realised I've never played Medal of Honor Allied Assault, is it a good game?
It's been done to death.
Yeah, WW2 is old shit...
I'd like to see a decent Korean War game...
Most of the same weapons, but different terrain and the bad guys speak a different language.
It's been done to death.
To be honest I still love WW2 shooters and I don't think so, but yes it would be nice with some new stuff but I mean perhaps they could do the korean war, vietnam war or something cause I'm getting sick of most new stuff that is set like 10 years in the future.
It's time to say no to shitty developers and publishers. Just because one game was good does not mean the rest are. Games should be made with a passion and not the desire for lots of money.
I liked Medal of Honor, but they're going to fuck it up anyways so I don't see the point.
I want more modern day related RTS'
After airborne i wouldn't buy another. Medal of honor was a great ww2 series.

i think its bad but it's about time in my opinion to end it...the new games coming out is just whatevers and no "WOW" factors in it

There still is and will always be a distinct difference between making games JUST to heave in buckets of cash and making games for cash AND for some higher purpose or motivation, whether you choose to call it "passion" or something else doesn't really matter.
