GTA V has been in development for PC since 2012, changelog file reveals - Polidicks

I hope we get it soon. I am willing to wait for the definitive version, as I always am, all PC gamers know that good things most often come to those who wait. But I refuse to play consoles, playing at 30 fps, 720p, with a controller only, it's just bleh. I built a PC to get the best experience I could for my money, not to accept a sub par "whatever is given to me" kind of experience. Give us a PC version, we will give you all of our earth dollars.

Please give me a version as good as Max Payne 3, it'll be magnificant

It's relatively easy and cheap on PC hardware, and it's about to become the standard for consoles. It's all your standards.

I'm going to play all of the old GTAs while I wait.

I payed good money to tailor my gaming experience in such a way that I like, there is nothing wrong with that. I am not going to shell out a few hundred dollars (my current 360 is old and never used in like 3 years and would immediately melt so I would have to buy a new one and GTA V for it) just to play a game that is horribly limited by shit hardware when I could wait and pay more like 60 to play it at a high standard. Gaming on a PC is a completely different beast than gaming on a console, after building my own, and experiencing it for several years, I have no desire to go "backwards" if you will, and am willing to wait for the proper experience that I personally am hoping for, I see nothing wrong with that at all. This is 2013 not 2006.

They still have this antiquated closed minded way of thinking, and you can tell because they will use the phrase "PC gaming master race" unironically. We know it was made up to make fun of the few who feel their choice of hobbies somehow make them superior people, but for every 1 person who is a PC user that thinks that, there are 100 console fanboys that parrot that phrase over and over as if it meant something. In fact I've actually never even heard a PC gamer use it as anything other than a joke, but I have seen hundreds of kids spout it out constantly to try and be clever, way more than I have ever heard it from actual PC users. I have a PS3 controller to my right for fighting and racing games, I will probably get a PS4 controller (literally the only next gen console thing I am interested in personally), and my monitor is actually a 33 inch LCD TV. You can't tell me that you have to play on a console for those things. PC gaming has never been about accepting limitations, it's about overcoming them. Surely game devs, like Rockstar, would HIGHLY appreciate the fact that their creation doesn't have to have arbitrary limitations on PC and can shine like they want it to. Every artist wants people to see their work in the best light possible.

Even with everything on low GTA IV runs like utter ass on my PC, I would kill for it to run 30fps @ 720p. With GTA V I decided to refuse probable better visual quality and get it for a console instead so I can actually play it without being frustrated.

The reason why the PC releases of previous titles took so long is because MONEY. They're not going to release GTA V in a month, or two months, or three months. If they did that, they would be cutting a hefty part of their profits. The longer they make people wait for a PC release, the higher chance that people will be buying it for the consoles instead, and then buying it [b]again[/b] when it's finally released on the PC. This was explained countless times when GTA IV was released too, why do people seem to forget this?

I'll sure have fun on GTA V on PC in 2076. See you all later, going to freeze myself. Not really, but this is awesome. This will further expand the potential of GTA V -- Once everything in the game has been seen (it's massive map, story elements, vehicles, landmarks, weapons, etc., etc.) People might actually have a chance to mod content to even expand further on that. Mods played a huge factor to the reason I continued to play GTA IV, even now.
