15 years on nothing but chicken nuggets: Docs warn Stacey's fast food diet will kill her
150 replies, posted
I once had spaghetti everyday for 2 weeks
Don't think I could pull off 15 years, though
Those things are good, but holy balls. How can she stand the same exact meal for 15 years?! I get bored of something within a couple of months, and even then it's not the only thing I eat when I'm on the kick.
Vary it up, good god.
Her mother should have been a better parent and stopped giving her nuggets.
If you read the article you'd know she tried exactly that. Didn't work.

Curse you, I'm having nuggets RIGHT NOW.
Heard that was a hoax image actually
I don't see how it can't be a hoax
Why would meat puree be going directly into a cardboard box instead of a bag or some other airtight container? Unless there's some kind of plastic casing but that would make even less sense when it came time to actually get the puree back out and make it into nuggets.
not 18 yet fukc
won't live til then, sorry to ruin your chicken nugget fetish porno dreams

oh well there we go
I went with only eating chicken strips and fries for lunch for a year in high school, that was pretty great.
I ended up being underweight, but was otherwise perfectly healthy. Probably due to the fact that all the food at the school was pretty much fresh made.
I'd like to know, from a physiological standpoint, how it is even possible that she is alive. There are substances within the human body that are essential to life, and these must be replenished if the human is to live. A chicken nugget is fundamentally incapable of doing this to even a small degree. Her diet is certainly more diverse than this article is claiming.

not fat yes
perfectly healthy? fuck no
If anything this is making McDonalds look good.
According to this you can eat almost only chicken nuggets and maintain a nice figure. You'll die but you look good doing it.
I don't know, she looks extremely unhealthy to me going by the first picture

Hmm, perhaps you're right. However, she isn't that old, and there are (and have been) many malnourished people that exceed her lifespan.
Well duh, eating one of most anything will cause you to have bad health, I mean hell, look at hard-core vegans, they have shit health (no matter what your media says)

That's what I was told when I had gone by the hospital. It's not like I wasn't eating right for breakfast and supper.

...I'm...not sure what his point is in the video down at the bottom.
Yes, it looks gross, but what are we supposed to do with it? There is nothing wrong with the meat that was left on the bone. Nor does tendon matter cause any trouble. The only thing that would cause an issue would be whatever they use to flavor it.
While I understand that the motivation was pure capitalism, I still have to appreciate that the industry is making use of as much of the carcass as possible.
He seems so dejected when those kids tell him where he can shove it. I am pleased.

The body has some awesome tricks up its sleeve for storing vitamins. It can hang onto quite a fair amount just naturally, with many only being necessary for life every few weeks to months, but it also can store a bunch inside your fat cells. You can last quite a long time provided you have a meat source.
won't live til then, sorry to ruin your chicken nugget fetish porno dreams
I was thinking if she eats so many of them, she would reek of chicken nuggets most likely.
[shallow] I'm frankly surprised she doesn't look like a whale. [/shallow]
I can say it in Gman voice! She has ded!
She must have high metabolism...she isn't even fat.
She must have high metabolism...she isn't even fat.
Orrrrr
She just doesn't eat that much
I don't get how people don't understand this. Your metabolism has very little to do with anything unless you have a legit thyroid condition.
There aren't foods that are on some magical "naughty" list and you get fat from eating them. People get fat from overeating.
If it took you roughly 2400 calories to maintain your current weight, and you ate a diet of 2400 calories of mcdonalds, I guarantee you wouldn't gain any weight. On the flip side, you could eat 3000 calories of the "healthiest" foods you care to list, and you would gain weight.
BAN CHICKEN NUGGETS, THEY DESTROY LIVES!
Theres even a supporting sob story now, shit, where is the Daily Mail when you need them?

yeah but a diet of 2400 calories worth of mcdonalds will impact your digestion, metabolism, cholesterol, all those wonderful terms.

Not everyone has the same basal metabolic rate
Hell, according to the accepted formula, if I was only 3 inches shorter I'd be likely to have a BMR of 130 less calories per day
Or to put it more bluntly, 3 less inches of height could mean the difference of a statistically significant amount of weight gain or loss over the span of a decade based on whether or not I have a bag of chips every week
It's not like being 3 inches shorter is going to make you naturally eat or exercise any differently
who gives a fuck if she dies
I do.
God damn that is fucked up.
"Stacey... if you keep up your unhealthy diet of nothing but chicken nuggets, you will probably be dead by the end of the year."
"No!"
"Am I not making myself clear? You WILL die if you keep this up"
"I CANT STOP, ITS TOO GOOD!!"
I mean, she has the choice to just stop right now and live for another ~50 years, why cant she? It's not like McDonalds put cocaine or something in it to make you dependent on it

I'm not particularly fond of vegetables myself. I can sympathise slightly with her situation. Nuggets taste good; as does all meat and most fruits. Vegetables however, not so good.
(However, I don't live just on nuggets that's stupid as fuck)

You can make vegetables delicious as fuck if you do it right.
Bending to the will of a 2-year-old. That's the bad parenting part, and sadly I've seen it with other people too. My cousin knew a girl who would only eat nutella on toast and my dad knew another girl who died because she only ate apples.
I can imagine is hard as hell to intervene when it's a person you love, but I think it's about time you draw the line when the life of the person is at risk.
