I wish tying my shoelaces only took 5 seconds, but it takes me almost a full minute. Shoelaces need to disappear.
What? Do you tie them to an eldredge knot or something? It seriously takes 5 seconds, maybe less. Unless you count putting them on as part of it, in which case this saves nothing.
Of all the technology to call a waste of time, you pick the technology first fake-shown off worn by Michael J Fox, who now suffers from Parkinson's disease and has really weak motor skills to his fingers and a lot of people (especially more elderly) probably find it impossible to tie their shoes, which is why we see old people shoes with velcro all the time the classic shoe design, despite being goofy hightops with ugly 'astro' grey/white styling, even made sense, actually having giant loops you can grip to hold and pull them on easier with
Geeze you can really see how hard parkinsons hit him in that video
tying your shoes has fuck all to do with elitism, good lord
He's actually got somewhat of a point, people are made fun of for having velcro or other non-tied shoes
What? Do you tie them to an eldredge knot or something? It seriously takes 5 seconds, maybe less.
He's actually got somewhat of a point, people are made fun of for having velcro or other non-tied shoes
yes because for the modest price of being able to use your hands you are admitted into society and some people still fuck it up
why does it say earl on it
yes because for the modest price of being able to use your hands you are admitted into society and some people still fuck it up
Some people just don't like dealing with laces. They're fucking annoying, and honestly there's not much of a reason for them anymore other than just old habits. We have simpler to use methods, I don't know why people are ridiculed for it.
Well I personally think velcro shoes look like shit so I'll stick to laces as long as they're sold. It also only takes like four seconds to tie the damn laces.
yes because for the modest price of being able to use your hands you are admitted into society and some people still fuck it up
You do realise that pretty much every consumer invention in the last 200 years or so has been primarily for convenience's sake and nothing else, right?
I can't wait to have to charge my fucking shoes.
"Hey dude are you coming outside?" "Sorry I can't, my shoes are empty, I can't put them on" [editline]17th March 2016[/editline] The future is now
yes because for the modest price of being able to use your hands you are admitted into society and some people still fuck it up
Yeah but think for a second why people care so much about laced shoes and not about buttoned shirts, or pants, or any other thing that makes life more convenient it is a little strange
i dont wear velcros but the idea people do get ridiculed for wearing them is some dumb /fa/ fuckboi shit
I miss the velcro shoes I wore when I was a kid. Only thing that sucked was having to tighten the velcro and making the loud ripping noise awkwardly in the middle of a classroom.
something like this would be pretty useful for me, since i suffer from arthritis i'm unable to actually tie my shoes while wearing them, so i normally have to just hope i got them tight enough a shame that i can't actually wear shit like nikes since i got wide feet
Pussy magnets.
Shoelaces are good at doing their job but who could be arsed to see that effort in this day and age? The technical requirements for a shoe are very lax for urban use, but if you want to go trekking in the wilderness then by all means go all in on functionality.
You might save 5 seconds by not having to tie your shoelaces but you'll lose 5 seconds by having to plug/unplug your shoes.

I love that blue LEDS fucking sexy. Would love to see more designs for these roll out. I do wonder The cost.
What the fuck is wrong with velcro?
You might save 5 seconds by not having to tie your shoelaces but you'll lose 5 seconds by having to plug/unplug your shoes.
Yeah but laces means they come undone like 5 times a day and you have to stop walking, crouch down and retie them.
Perhaps we finally get those shoes at the Back to the Future 40th anniversary :v:
What the fuck is wrong with velcro?
It's ugly.
You know you could get around the problem of having to charge the shows by putting in a system that uses the energy you make while walking to charge it.
Some things deserve to stay in the 80's. They look like small snowboard boots.
The Air Mags are dope as fuck though??
What the fuck is wrong with velcro?
looks terrible, says you can't tie a knot, used almost exclusively by small children and people with legitimate motor problems, and pretty much all decent shoes (ones you would wear to work or to a job interview) will have laces just learn how to tie them, it's a more important life skill than you'd think

Judging by the blue light, it also functions as a PS Move controller.
You know you could get around the problem of having to charge the shows by putting in a system that uses the energy you make while walking to charge it.
You might be able to generate some electricity, but I doubt all that much. TBH they should just use a wireless charging pad. So you take your shoes off and leave them on the charging pad, then they'd be always ready to go. Doubt they need all that much charge since most the time they only will have to Tie/untie twice a day.
I have never seen a single pair of velcro shoes that didn't look fucking terrible. Get some loafers or boat shoes, Jesus.
