Sharpton calls for federal prosecution in Ferguson
ST. LOUIS — With a grand jury decision and a local election looming, the Rev. Al Sharpton returned to St. Louis on Friday to renew calls for the federal prosecution of a white police officer who shot and killed a black 18-year-old in the nearby suburb of Ferguson.
The civil rights activist said leaks about the supposedly secret St. Louis County grand jury deliberations undermine the local inquiry into whether to indict Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson in Michael Brown's killing. The panel is expected to complete its review by mid-November, independent of U.S. Justice Department investigations into both Brown's death and the broader practices of the Ferguson department.

"The grand jury is tainted. The confidence of the family has been shattered," Sharpton said after meeting briefly with Brown's parents and local activists at a breakfast rally before returning to New York. "We should turn this over to the federal government."

Sharpton's remarks were followed by a training of volunteer "justice disciples" who will monitor the police response to anticipated protests over the upcoming grand jury decision. He's scheduled to again join Brown's parents Monday at a get-out-the-vote rally in St. Louis, with a particular emphasis on a St. Louis County executive race that has largely become a referendum on Ferguson.
You wanna know what crazy sounds like? Al Sharpton is what crazy sounds like.
and in response to the subtitle:
Al Sharpton is a fucking idiot and racist. Any opinion by him should immediately be tossed aside as "false".
According to the stats about a quarter of all African Americans think that he accurately speaks for them more often than any other person. So you can't really dismiss him too quickly.
that's not what the secret service do though . . .

Which means 3 quarters, an overwhelming majority, don't believe that.
why is sharpton even talking
The same thing will happen when people asked for Zimmerman to be federally prosecuted; the justice department will spend years looking for a way to make the case happen then quietly stop once they realize there is nothing to work with.
32% of Americans don't believe in evolution in any way shape or form, does that mean we should entertain their thought processes? No, no it doesn't. In fact we'll dismiss them very quickly, just like one should do with good ol'e Al.
It means you address it, not dismiss it. When a large portion of people believe something just throwing it to the sidelines without giving a real response will only further the problem.

He is just doing what he does, struggling to remain relevant. Whenever there is a black vs white conflict, its his job shove his head up his ass and join in the fray.
Every time I hear something from this racist fuck, the more I question why he's in politics.

He has pull with blacks and makes a killing doing it.

And that's fucking stupid. Some people literally follow his word as if he's the next messiah, when in reality he's no better then a KKK leader.

not to come off racist, but he really does represent everything wrong with black culture in america, he's the type of guy who bullies the government and anybody who isn't black, while at the same time belittling the acomplisments of successful black people and deriding them and educated black americans as being against black culture and being too white
