For all the people going "lolz it was made in china anyway"
Apple isn't based in china is it? No, the product might be made in china but that is far as it goes. Support and warranties all within that company.
Because a company's location determines their customer service quality.
So you're saying that the parts in your computer RIGHT NOW AREN'T manufactured in lines staffed by poor asians?
You must not buy any name brand on the market.
HIS is located in Hong Kong, SAPPHIRE is in Hong Kong, ASUS is in Taiwan, and etc.
Super Micro up until about 2-3 years ago solely designed and manufactured motherboards in the US, so technically if you got a 2-3 year old Super Micro board and an old video card like the V5 5500, you could go "All American" :downs:
Too bad the battery seems to suck. But other than that, wow.
Sometimes I get the feeling apple is holding back on specs on purpose.
That's no surprise. Apple is clever in that they build as cheap as possible for maximum profit. There is no reason why $1000+ Mac Books have specifications similar to $600 PC laptops. The thing is, Apple is entirely proprietary. They basically have a monopoly within their own product line; this gives them total price control. PCs however are open to any brand meaning competition, meaning lower prices.
Specs are better.
But the battery is outright inferior, only ninety minutes worth of charge compared to the Ipad's ten hours. If the company upgraded the battery, and made this thing more accessible to the consumer, I'd buy one just to try it, clone or not.
Oh china,
silly silly you :cop:

Acutally, Yes.

you wouldn't work great for either of them.
The whole attraction of the iPad is that it's a giant iPod Touch.
This has like nothing to do with any of that. It's only alike in style.
1.5 hour battery life? What?
And so it begins.....

if only microsoft made this
If the battery life was the same as the iPad's, I'd get that over the iPad (not that I'm planning to get an iPad)
If they increase the battery life, Apple's gonna have a bit of a problem.
The only bad thing I can see from this is it looks like it has some bad plastic wrap over it.
The internet is filled with a bunch of peopel who contradict them selfs.
Apple makes it: FUCKING SHIT
China makes it: LOL ITS THE BEST
Too bad china you get shitty parts, Shitty customer service, Shitty warrentys that when the warrenty ends so does the product.
Yes because the ipad parts aren't made in china at ALL.
It's alibaba for god sake, there's EVERYTHING on alibaba, even a complete clone of the PS3 that'll play games from both xbox 360 and ps3.
I'd be surprised if Alibaba for once got some original content.
if only microsoft made this
Microsoft are laughing at the iPad:

If I was to get either, it would be the MS one as long as the battery is as good as the iPad's.
Jesus christ that sounds epic. A duo x360 and a PS3?

You know nothing at all.
I've used a small fortune on imports, and yes there's no customer service because of the fact that I order the shit from a factory, which doesn't give 2 shit if you can't configure your new "derk9000" laptop, However if there's anything hardware related wrong with it they completely panic and I'm willing to bet they'd pay you full price back if like 70% of them were broken.
By the way, 99% of everything electronic contains asian produced microchips, even your coffee machine or your precious iphone.

Didn't work online, plus i've heard it has a lot of bugs such as saving games on certain games and being completely unable to play certain games.
Not sure if it even excists anymore, they probably gave up on the project as nobody could sell it.

I remember that thing. Given it wasn't too long ago when news broke. Hard to believe a giant iPhone got more attention than something that actually looks useful.
Just for your information, the iPad doesn't last 10 hours. Like the iPod nano's supposed 24 hour battery-life, it won't last that long unless you run it at the absolutely most energy-saving state.
If I actively use my iPod nano I can imagine it'd only last for 1-2 hours. I don't wanna know how long the iPad will last if I were to actually use it. Possibly around 1.5 hours, don't you think?
Haha, this is better than the iPad. It has a fucking webcam in it.
To protect the screen - something ipads dont have
I would think about the Chinese one if it was around half the price as Ipad and if I didn't have to buy the Windows with it.

For the prices that I know of, you pay $150 for english windows, and $120 for a chinese windows.
Could come with it for free though, but I doubt it as it's factory ordered.
It's like the iPad but better in almost every way.

Oh look it's microsofts tablet PC standard from 2002.

I would probably not use windows at all, I would use Linux. And if I wanted windows, I would get them from MSDN for free. I really don't want to spend even $120 for something I wouldn't use at all.

But... It's Chinese and stuff, it's so awesome :saddowns:.
The fact that it runs Windows instead of a proprietary OS immediately makes it better in the ranks of keyboardless laptops.
