The Jews have finally achieved whiteness in these people's eyes. So now they're fair game to say whatever you want about them and it can't be racist by definition.
The world jewish conspiracy isn't what it used to be
Saying something on your own time doesn't mean it shouldn't have repercussions on your professional life.
Yes, it does mean it shouldn't. Unless your account is "Joe Bob, employee of X!" or if you're a PR head, what you say independently SHOULD NOT affect your job. Sure, it's private and not government-run, but it's still essentially restriction of freedom of speech because without a job your quality if life will be pretty much nonexistent. Since social media is a form of speech like no other, it should be protected.
Teachers in many states have to go through a digital citizenship course which explicitly states that your social media behavior can and will affect your job. Every single person who wants to become a teacher in the US has to encounter this rule or training in some way, shape, or form. Social media is no longer entirely separate because parents and students all have access to this teacher's profile. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you're absolved of consequences, especially when you're an educator.
See above posts. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, nobody should fear for their other natural rights being infringed upon from exercising one of those said rights. This is especially true for a university teacher, since university is where new and unaccepted ideas are initially proliferated and debated. Is she right? No, her statement was pretty stupid as well. But she shouldn't lose her job for it, nor should she fear losing her job for exercising her right to freedom of speech.
i live my life by the ideal that anything with the phrase "jew world order" in it shouldn't be taken seriously
I'll be honest with you, I didn't even read to the end of your sentence before bothering to correct it. I guess I should have :v:
Anti-Semitism and being against Israel has nothing to do with political alignment. You'd be surprised how many left wing people are against Israel.
The problem is that the line between anti-Semitism and opposing what the Israeli government are doing is becoming blurred. People should be protesting the Israeli government for it's poor treatment of Palestinians and etc but too many people are taking it too far with the whole "Israel doesn't deserve to exist" and "Kill all jews" shit

People should be protesting the Israeli government for it's poor treatment of Palestinians and etc but too many people are taking it too far with the whole "Israel doesn't deserve to exist" and "Kill all jews" shit
There's a difference in intent between "Israel doesn't deserve to exist" and "kill all jews".
There's a difference in intent between "Israel doesn't deserve to exist" and "kill all jews".
Is there any other group of culturally, religiously, and ethnically cohesive people who don't deserve self-determination? Especially one that's so consistently oppressed.
Is there any other group of culturally, religiously, and ethnically cohesive people who don't deserve self-determination? Especially one that's so consistently oppressed.
I refuse to take a stance on this in this thread but the issue isn't whether or not the group has the right to self-determination, the issue is centered around their behavior. Also, no. Since the world no longer functions around conquest, no group is entitled to having their own country.

The Jews have traditionally behaved well, being non aggressors and serving as translators, scribes, scholars, bankers, and advisers. Why don't we deserve a state, esp considering that there are many Christian, Muslim, and Buddhist states?
I refuse to take a stance on this in this thread but the issue isn't whether or not the group has the right to self-determination, the issue is centered around their behavior. Also, no. Since the world no longer functions around conquest, no group is entitled to having their own country.
So would you argue that Germany has no right to exist? How about China? Would the allies have been justified in taking Germany away from the German people because of their behavior in WWII?
Is there any other group of culturally, religiously, and ethnically cohesive people who don't deserve self-determination? Especially one that's so consistently oppressed.
No, being part an ethnic group does not entitle you to your own state. Especially when in order to achieve your goals you need to kick other people off the land that they had been living on for generations, commit ethnic cleansing, and treat the indigenous population like second class citizens. That's what the entire issue is about. That the Palestinians are continually being fucked over by the Israelis.
Right. The Jews have traditionally behaved well, being non aggressors..?
Why equate Jews with Israel? Anyway, the way Israel has treated the Palestinian population is rephrensible and not all criticisms of Israel are based on anti-semitism. If anything Isrealis and zionists (expansion of Israel) use anti-semitism to deflect criticism of their policy.
Why does everyone hate us Jews? We didn't do anything :(
Right. The Jews have traditionally behaved well, being non aggressors and serving as translators, scribes, scholars, bankers, and advisers. Why don't we deserve a state, esp considering that there are many Christian, Muslim, and Buddhist states?
There are many christian, muslim, and buddhist states, yes. But they are not entitled to a state, which is what I'm saying. You don't deserve a country for just being a part of a specific group, that's just simply not the way the world works. Again. I am not saying that Israel does not deserve to exist. I am not taking a stance on the issue at all. I am just saying that saying that one can believe that israel doesn't deserve to exist for its actions for non-antisemetic reasons, and you'd have to be pulling on your oppression blinders to not realize that. It doesn't matter how scholarly a group is, how little they've done wrong, nobody "Deserves" a state. Also, don't equate jews to Israel. I'm jewish and Israel's acts fucking disgust me. Israel =/= jews.
So would you argue that Germany has no right to exist? How about China? Would the allies have been justified in taking Germany away from the German people because of their behavior in WWII?
I did not say that Israel did not deserve to exist. In fact, I specifically said that I was not taking a stance on it, not that it did not deserve to exist. Also, what the hell are you talking about? How are Germany or China related to this at ALL? Also, the allies DID take away Germany from the German people during occupation, that's what that whole Berlin wall thing was, the fuck are you going off about
Why does everyone hate us Jews? We didn't do anything :(
But the Jews did 9/11
Would you be willing to allow someone to keep their job if they made similar disgusting comments about African-Americans?
Yes? Free speech is free speech, beginning, middle, end. Unless it immediately endangers someone (shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater) that's the beginning and end of it.
There are many christian, muslim, and buddhist states, yes. But they are not entitled to a state, which is what I'm saying. You don't deserve a country for just being a part of a specific group, that's just simply not the way the world works.
Does that mean Palestinians don't deserve a country too? how does the world works then?
It doesn't matter how scholarly a group is, how little they've done wrong, nobody "Deserves" a state. Also, don't equate jews to Israel. I'm jewish and Israel's acts fucking disgust me. Israel =/= jews
It is however called The Jewish State of Israel
Also, don't equate jews to Israel. I'm jewish and Israel's acts fucking disgust me. Israel =/= jews.

Yes? Free speech is free speech, beginning, middle, end. Unless it immediately endangers someone (shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater) that's the beginning and end of it.
Except for all the other limits on free speech that exist even in the United States like copyright laws, national security and laws against various kinds of pornography, fighting words and hate speech.
It is however called The Jewish State of Israel
You shouldn't equate Jews with Israel because many Jews don't agree with Israels policies or even live in Israel as an Israeli.
You shouldn't equate Jews with Israel because many Jews don't agree with Israels policies or even live in Israel as an Israeli.
You shouldn't equate Catholics with the Vatican because many Catholics don't agree with the Vatican's policies or even live in the Vatican as a priest. Literally the same thing. Also, right now, Israel has the biggest Jewish population in the world. It's a Jewish state and if you're Jewish it's very easy to become a citizen.
You shouldn't equate Catholics with the Vatican because many Catholics don't agree with the Vatican's policies or even live in the Vatican as a priest. Literally the same thing.
Except not in the slightest?

Haha what the hell :v: Thanks for laugh
Why equate Jews with Israel? Anyway, the way Israel has treated the Palestinian population is rephrensible and not all criticisms of Israel are based on anti-semitism. If anything Isrealis and zionists (expansion of Israel) use anti-semitism to deflect criticism of their policy.
Why equate "White people" with "colonialism"? The regressives have been doing it for years and years now. The Jews are going to suffer the same fate.
You shouldn't equate Catholics with the Vatican because many Catholics don't agree with the Vatican's policies or even live in the Vatican as a priest. Literally the same thing. Also, right now, Israel has the biggest Jewish population in the world.
Except not in the slightest?
Yeah, rereading that, it wasn't a good analogy. What I mean is that Israel is still a Jewish state even if some Jews don't live there or agree with its policies.
It is however called The Jewish State of Israel
I'm going to leave the first part where it is because obviously there is a lapse in communication here, but this part- no. IS is the Islamic state, does that mean that all muslims are daesh members? No.

Yes, israel is run by Jews. The Westborough baptist church is completely white people, does that mean that white people = WBC? No, don't equate a group to the common factor among its members.

Holy shittt I just hit the motherlode
