You should have done what I did just spent the night outside. That would have kept you awake.
I got my laptop, my telescope, a sleeping bag, a thermos filled with coffee, some peanut butter sandwiches and camped out on my back lawn. Set up my telescope, watched Breaking Bad, listened to some music, and finally watched the landing on the NASA live stream.
All in all, except for the Sikh temple shooting, yesterday turned out to be a really great day.

Yes! It landed successfully! I was working all day so i had no knowledge was it success or not. Good to know it was pinpoint accuracy landing considering the distances.
Can't wait the first high quality pictures of mars! I have been waiting for this some years now :dance:
