Do People actually read CAD? I mean Not only is Tim Buckley incredibly unfunny, but he has also stolen another person's art for a character design. I'm also pretty sure he sent someone a cease and desist letter over a fan animation, though I can't find it at the moment. Not to mention the whole sending pictures of his dick to a minor thing.
The thing is, though, last time I knew what was going on, he had genuinely been trying to improve and hadn't had a major "incident" for over a year (the racist joke thing was the last I remember, although it depends if you count the choking scene). Loss just hit its 5 year anniversary and Abbygate was over 3 years ago. Jackie (along with the the cease-and-desist he sent to the fan animation) was almost 8 years ago. I'm not exactly a fan of him, but I'm sick of the circlejerk around him leading to nothing he does having a chance to please people.
I still am currently trying to acquire the funds to purchase this once i have this, that's it, all need for human contact and intimacy is replaced, for years i have dreamed of being able to make it with a cardboard cut out of shitty webcomic characters, my harem dream of bad video game jokes and miscarriage plots will finally be a real one, i live for this.
where can i donate to this cause
dont give this hack a dime please
jokes on him, i just printed out the photograph. good enough for me. i own history now
Ignoring everything else, I dislike his strips because of the hideous way he shades and highlights things. Everything looks like shiny rubber. That, and the dull expressions. He doesn't copy paste anymore as far as I know, but he may as well.
FP must buy it to fuel the LMAO pics economy and get out of debt.
I didn't think Buckley would even sketch when he drags and drops his comics.
This is just... I'm at loss.
Buy it Make youtube video of you burning it.
I'm guessing Bum Fuckley drew that "original art" not too long ago before the auction.
So he's selling it at a loss? :v:
IIRC it is based on real life events he had. And it started a shit storm.
It wouldn't have been a shitstorm if he didn't post later on that miscarriages basically aren't that big of a deal and that women will just get over them

Buckley's a douche but his comics have actually gotten a lot better. They're not exactly top notch but you can get a chuckle every so often and there's no plotline bullcrap.
Haven't you seen that picture of him dragging and dropping eyes and such with some expensive tablet?
He said "anymore". That gif is ancient.
When I heard about B^U doing this, I was confused as to how the hell he was selling the "original art" considering that he does a digital comic, that and tied with that video of him drag & dropping from a set pallet of eyes/face shapes make me quite suspicious of this. If I recall, the GIF is from around the same time as the miscarrage strip came out, but I might be wrong.
Apparently my best friend knows the guy that won it. Though, can it truly be considered a victory?
bum tickley
It wouldn't have been a shitstorm if he didn't post later on that miscarriages basically aren't that big of a deal and that women will just get over them
I have to see that for myself.
Wow it only went for $306? I could have bought that. Not that I wanted to.

I had always heard of CAD, had read like 4 of them, but I had no idea of the author's weirdness and that people hated him now. Jesus this thread has taught me so much.
my hope: the person who receives this posts a youtube video titled, "CTRL+ALT+DEL COMIC ORIGINAL LOSS SKETCH ARRIVAL!!! $300 ORIGINAL CAD ART!!" in which he/she holds up the thing hysterically and talks about how they just received it and it's so exciting, and then the rest of the video is a shot of the paper on the ground, burning into ash for five minutes
Buckley's a douche but his comics have actually gotten a lot better.
(linked because there's a picture of his penis)
It's not even his penis. It's a photoshop someone did of what it would've looked like. [editline]13th June 2013[/editline]
I have to see that for myself.
The relevant part of his blog post:
Here's one I think I heard mentioned a while back, and that I anticipate being mentioned: "Tim will never do a miscarriage because then the comic strip will become all sad and depressing". Again, I disagree. A miscarriage is definitely not a joke, and I have no intention of making light of it. And it can be a tough and emotional thing for couples to go through, speaking from personal experience. And I know that it's often much harder on the woman than on the man. However, I also know that it doesn't necessarily turn you into a sad, depressed sack of tears for the rest of your life. People can move past it, and heal. This falls in with what I was just saying above. Yes, a miscarriage is a very sad occurance. But nothing dictates that I now need to follow Ethan and Lilah through every second of their sad emotions, putting us right in the middle of it where, yes, it would be a bit depressing. There are a number of supporting characters in the strip through which I can tell the story, or I could break away completely with some one-shots and come back to join the characters post-ground-zero, when the pain isn't so fresh, to show how they handle it.
oh good ol bum tickley. I haven't heard anything from him in a while.
