Nobody should game on a laptop. Unless it's like, Bejeweled or something. But then you can just get a tablet.

i have a razor mouse that i really like a lot. too bad they're a bunch of evil people to make such a lie of a product.
The worst thing is people will actually buy this fucking thing.
this new Blade can run the latest games like a Pro. That kind of performance plays into making a beast of a workstation. Get professional with Maya and Adobe Creative Suite in between gaming sessions.
Honestly who are they marketing this thing for I'd love to know Is there truly a single person out there who's thinking, "Oh man bro, if only I had a sw33t ultrabook to game on hardcore after I'm done doing 3D modeling and graphic design on that same ultra book. I know, with my great career success I have, I'll blow a chunk of my salary for a razer blade!!" Like as far as I know, people who actually use maya/CS don't like to do it on net/ultrabooks if they can help it, and they certainly don't have a bunch of gaming sessions all the time as it is kind of a small time waster, and when you are a creative professional genreally its good to not be SO addicted to gaming that you have to work on your projects in between "cool gaming sessions" Actually this is starting to sound like about half the freshman/sophmores I've ever run into at my old design department, so I guess there is a market for this. Unfortunately, it's a market that tends to drop out of college and/or doesn't have a bunch of money in the first place, which isn't exactly in their favor when they are pricing it to be $2.5k
Holy shit, these guys are the master of spouting absolute marketing shit. Also Razer's CEO voice.... Dear god it is like a evil villain.
Holy fuck Ted Fu is getting old.

And sadly, it's still cheaper and better than Alienware.
You are on fucking crack if you think a notebook, any notebook, is worth $2500. "Whelp, power jack/screen hinge/keyboard wore out, I guess I'll just throw my $2500 investment in the garbage and buy a new one." I would never, ever spend that kind of money on something I can't open up and fix when it breaks.
They call it the blade cause it cuts your wallet in half.
They call it blade because their prices are absolutely gouging.
How does this compare to a macbook pro? http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro I have the 13 inch retina with bootcamp, and can do everything I could do on my old massive noisy black box.
The price for both is just bad.

No way they would use this thing. If I am going to spend 2500 on a laptop I'm buying a custom-painted Falcon NW beast of a machine
I find it somewhat difficult to understand how you don't know the answer to that question being a game developer and all.
Coding and actually playing/testing your own game are usually not symbiotic with a lot of developers.
$2.5k for a plastic slab that melts through my lap, AND it saved PC gaming as we know it?? I'll take eight!
Walk into a starbucks and setup those laptops in a surround display.
Coding and actually playing/testing your own game are usually not symbiotic with a lot of developers.
True but I'm sure Garry has worked solo at some point. The idea that he doesn't know which out of two computers is superior just baffles me.
I wish these guys would stop saving PC gaming. They're playing right into the stereotype that in order to enjoy playing games on the PC you need to put down two and a half grand, which is bullshit.
The $999 price for indies is a really great deal, though it's not like many people can get it as you need to have a successfully funded Kickstarter. It's a gimmick requirement so they look generous but don't have to sell many at that price.
could they play the videogames? no.
I am pretty sure it can run doom.
Does it come with maya and shit? no? fuck
I'd buy it if I had money to just piss away. Though I have to say that gaming laptops never really held my interest. I feel that if I want to game I need to be sitting in front of my desktop. It'd be much more effective to build a LAN box that you can transport with you. Sure it's a little clunkier and requires a constant power source; but I think that is something I can get over.
Honestly the 4th Gen i7 they're using is the only thing attractive about it, but you could easily pay $500 less for something comparable.
That's the reason PC gaming (and PCs in general are dying). There is just no reason in this day and age to pay over 500$ for pc/laptop.
You've gotta be fucking kidding! Those tech specs are pathetic?! I bought my ex an m17x alienware for $1500. That had a quadcore 3.2ghz, 2gb SLI videocards, and a 500gb sdd. AND a fucking rainbow backlit keyboard!
it's a shame about the specs and the price, i do like the design. thin, minimal and matte black. everyone take note.
I am pretty sure it can run doom.
Probably not very well.
