It's an alright movie, but my dad rented it out on DVD and it's nowhere near as good on the small screen.

Anyone read Stephen King's [I]Dreamcatcher[/I]? This is exactly how I imagined Captain Kurtz.
Well for me this movie wasn't the best but it is somewhat good. I do have a quite a few caveats about it. Though I bought the movie first then watched on the big screen.

I like the parody of him with all different backgrounds.
I think people liked it from battle scenes, seeing naked people run around every scene, and the colonel.
It's all about the cowboys vs indians. Sure the Indians were violent, so were the cowboys. The Cowboys tread on their grounds without advising them. And look where it got them.
The only thing I loved in the movie was the mechs
It was a good movie, just overhyped. I see why too. Guy that made titanic has been waiting to make it for 10 years translates to people as "BEST MOVIE EVER TO BE RELEASED"

It's two hours too long, cut the bullshit "oh teh noes I've fallen in luv w/ a blue ladee!!!!!" that took up far too long and go to the war scene and it'd be much more interesting.

Really? This is the highest grossing movie ever. It's ridiculous how much this movie has made, and piracy obviously has no effect on sales.
I don't really care about the story I only went to see it for the Visual effects. Yes I know. Get over it. Other than the slightly insulting story (So fucking obvious STOP POINTING EVERYTHING THAT FUCKING HAPPENS OUT!) I liked the movie, The 3D Was fucking awesome, oh and colonel Badass.
