I don't like the idea on focusing on Luke, Lea and Han. I would love a new cast of protagonists, they can fuck up to much or just include forced scenes in some way.

I guess this explains why the battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader in the original trilogy feels really slow compared to the ones in the prequels. Then, of course, George thought "oh fuck that idea" and decided he wanted to battles to be really fast-paced with lots of choreography and blade-clashes. It'd be cool if they went back to the old idea of the lightsabers being heavy and hard to swing. Something akin to the "Red Style" or "Heavy Style" (Anybody who has played Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy would get what I'm saying).

Most of the EU set after ROTJ gets pretty ridiculous, with the exception of the Thrawn Trilogy. I'd like to see something set before Phantom Menace but after all of the Old Republic stuff. There is still a lot of the timeline before the prequels that could be used.
