im not buying mw2 because i'm boycotting it, i'm not buying mw2 because CoD4 was awesome for single player, mildly fun for a few weeks in multiplayer, and then I never touched it after about 6 weeks not worth the money they're asking for it imo

I'm buying it for xbox so I don't really care, lol.

Really hope they listen. What really pissed me off was the paying for DLC, but I'm glad they got rid of punkbuster, full intergration of steam could be good. But I don't get the whole matchmaking system, will I be able to still play with my mates? And what the hell are they on about when they say competitive play is dead?

What is it with games developers not supporting mods these days? Used to be that practically every game out there was moddable now it seems to be only Source and Unreal games.

No dedicated servers? I mean, I never really played COD4 multiplayer, but no dedicated servers for a pc fps game? Really? Did they even give a reason?

Definately not going to buy it now. Not only did they just kill multiplayer, but they removed any gameplay expansion ability (Mods). Not like it matters, Operation Flashpoint 2 is coming out soon.

Maybe they're thinking this will help crack down on piracy Maybe they have yet to realize that the best way to fight piracy is the Team Fortress 2 way - continuous support.
