Not really whining, at face value they've pretty much destroyed competitive gaming by removing dedicated servers. So clans can't have private servers or any sense of community, the modding and the paid DLC that's a hard pip to swallow but I think everyone could have got over that. Removing Dedi's? A pointless stupid move to most likely build a network like battle.net so the developers have more control over their content. Not a big deal for console gamers but cutting out a large portion of what make's a game worth buying on a PC (Modding and Dedis) is just fucking stupid.
You can't petition for a private company to change their mind :o And boycotting doesn't work unless you get a LOT of people
You can't petition for a private company to change their mind :o And boycotting doesn't work unless you get a LOT of people
i think 35k sigs with a few hundred every minute is a lot of people.
i think 35k sigs with a few hundred every minute is a lot of people.
Irregardless, I doubt they're gonna listen.
i think 35k sigs with a few hundred every minute is a lot of people.
Until a sizeable chunk of the predicted sales is signed under the petition, they probably won't listen. Also I love this quote
console players are retarded ignorant assholes nough said.

Irregardless, I doubt they're gonna listen.
Im sure they will listen if enough people cancel their preorders.
That's not really the point, I don't think this is a half hearted attempt at a boycott to sway IW. It's simply all the pc gamers saying "What's the fucking point in buying it if there isn't dedi support?" Those 35k sigs I think you can count as lost sales. It's like buying a car without wheels to be honest and I can see why they are pissed off.
Way to go IW. You saved me a trip to steam and saved me $60 bucks. Time to preorder L4D2.
L4D2 has brought a whole new class of idiots who think they can change a game by whining.
There's a difference between people who are spoiled and want more free content out of Valve and a Company that has just given the PC community the middle finger because they want to be a console developer.
A boycott for a sequel to a game that was given universal acclaim and numerous awards... What a bunch of fucking idiots.
Well, the least people will do is make the PC version a complete and utter failure. They're not expecting to expect the sales to drop on all the consoles...
Upon reading the thread title, I thought this would be a petition to prevent the game's release date from being delayed.
I signed the petition but I'm going to buy the game anyway Just like most of the people who signed it owned
Look at comments on Gamestop. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?Product_ID=74786
I signed the petition but I'm going to buy the game anyway Just like most of the people who signed it owned
same. I'm at least gonna play SP and spec ops even if MP is a piece of shit
Gaming boycotts never worked. It will never will.
Cock of Doody 4 Modern Gayfuckstupid That made me laugh, a lot.
The signatures are rising so fast, each time i refresh it it has like 100 news signs.
what a bunch of tools what next they have the execs from infinity ward fly them to infinity ward to playtest modern warfare 2 then they disassemble because it was so good oh wait
I bet those L4D2 boycott leaders did that just to playtest L4D2.
You're still crying over a fucking video game, yet you condemn us for being disappointed at this news and actually taking some form of action? Quit being a jive turkey, fool.
I never condemned anyone, I just think boycotting any kind of media is dumb, there are way more important things to do then boycott something so insignificant as a video game. and the price should be on that list of bad things, no fucking way I'm paying that much for a video game, but at least VAC is some good news.
Valve saw this coming. That's why they released L4D2 around the date MW2 comes. They knew.
It's k, its been delayed till November the 24th for the PC anyway.
Not really whining, at face value they've pretty much destroyed competitive gaming by removing dedicated servers.
Yeah but to be fair competitive gaming is kinda queer. I plan on playing this on a console, like a bitch.
I might as well just buy MW1, it's a fun game online.
I severely lol'd there is almost nothing to complain about with MW2. It looks like MWx2, hopefully the ending isnt as awful :geno: [sp]fucking all the awesome people getting brapped[/sp]
I signed the petition but I'm going to buy the game anyway Just like most of the people who signed it owned
why are you defending IW ? there making the PC version no better than a XBOX version
The signatures at that online petition have almost hit 100,000. And people say online petitions are pointless?
The signatures at that online petition have almost hit 100,000. And people say online petitions are pointless?
Hey, we still didn't finish that petition to get Boll out of film making. Even though there is around 300k signatures.
Fuck boycotting, just don't but the godamn game. If people didn't make hollow threats that would be 78781 people that wouldn't buy the game that would have.
I signed the petition but I'm going to buy the game anyway Just like most of the people who signed it owned
That's hardcore bro.
Well if (85045 Total Signatures prior to this post) doesn't buy MW2 for ANY platform. Than yeah, I think IW will take a lost. However I think at least 80% of the signatures are trolls. Anyway if do my math right... All right let's break it down: 85045ts Let's say 40% buys the 150$ pack one. and the other 60% just buys 60$ one. First that 34018 (40% of 85045) 34018 x 150 = $5, 102 ,700 Then 51027 (60% of 85045) 34018 + 51027 = 85045 51027 x 60 = $3, 061, 620 Then $3, 061, 620 = $5, 102 ,700 = 8164320 in total sales off 85045 people. That's not including the people who buys copies for friends or mulitple copies for themselves. (among the 40% and.or 60%) Like said, if my math is correct. 85187 Total Signatures Prior to hitting "Post Quick reply".
