If 1 million people can pay for their healthcare (and all other social services) with a 13% a month, which is a much smaller amount than the average American's 13% a month, then 300 million people can also play for their healthcare (and all other social services) with 13% a month social service tax. Like I said, healthcare costs do not increase exponentially. The only reason the US's expenses are so huge is because you already have a broken system. Single payer would not only increase the health of your nation, it would save you money.

We need to maintain a presence world-wide, we need to be the backbone of NATO, we lead in in R&D. I agree the vet situation is bad, hence why literally every candidate is promising to improve that. Homelessness is a tough issue, but having been homeless myself and making it out fine I can tell you a lot of it falls upon the individual.
