i forget to wear my seatbelt all the time, at least when i'm not driving. putting on a seatbelt is part of my "driving routine", like checking mirrors and shit.

I knew a kid in school who didn't wear a seatbelt because he said he heard that the whiplash can break your neck, about 2 years later my mum told me about how while she was working he was rushed into A&E after a car crash and had to spend months in a hospital with various skin graft operations because he went through the passenger door window and landed on the tarmac. He was lucky to live but he's gonna be permanently disfigured for the rest of his life for not doing something that takes 5 seconds.

I hope that was the whole family...imagine being the sibling(s) who didn't get killed, waiting at home or something.

At least thats how it is in Alabama.

I remember some kid in my film class in high school never wore his seat belt, he was in an accident and was flung from the car and killed on impact. Shit's scary when it's someone you pretty see everyday in school.

I can't be the only one who feels insecure inside a car without a seat belt. It's something natural that comes to me, I'm in a car, immediately go for the seat belt.
