And pretty half the other country did.
And you don't even seem to know what the word Fascist even means.
Also Trump isn't racist. That label gets thrown around so easily nowadays.
i mean, believe what you want to, but a man who wants/wanted to bar people, even temporarily, from entering the country strictly based on their religious or familial background sounds like a man who believes one race is worse than another.
alternatively: the same man who makes a statement calling a majority of people coming from a place are bringing "drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists." [sp]i mean he followed that up with the worst fucking backhanded complement ever, saying "And some, I assume, are good people." what a joke. please don't defend this.[/sp]
That's some serious ignorance, fam.
The answer is sadly a sizable number of them actually think this.
You fuckin serious? Trump campaigned on the idea that Hillary would start a nuclear war and YOU people believed it.
Whoaly is literally in the wall thread pushing the idea that she would have.
I can't take these protests seriously anymore, it's coming off as cringe worthy roleplay like these people think they're fighting an actual war, do these people honestly believe that Trump is going to cause nuclear holocaust and openly call for the mass slaughter of gays and blacks or something. Fucking stupid.
I too cringe at Americans exercising their rights to show distaste with the current state of affairs
Trump is pretty racist.
Fascist Definition
Last I checked he still doesn't have complete authority, is more populist then right wing, and doesn't subscribe to many social programs.
Who cares? Trump is going to hurt, and that is enough reason. Majority of them dont speculate about the future, they simply look at what Trump has done, and what the actions imply.
Your condescendence of the protesters and cherrypicking and distibuting the incidental stupidity among them is telling TBF.
Have you actually sat down and tried talking to a "protester"? You try to have open dialogue with someone and god forbid you use any words involving more than 3 syllables or you're accused of trying to make a word salad, if what you want to say doesn't fit a narrative you're silenced and drowned out with chanting or name calling until only their voice is heard. If you want to talk about cherry picking and condescension, take a good look at the people who were anti-Trump following this whole election cycle.

You're from Australia but it's this same inability to recognize the early stages of a fascist movement that is going to let Trump get away with it
Resist what? Democratically elected leaders? Wtf is this crap.
Democratically elected with 46% of the vote when a different candidate got 48% :))))))))

It's to be expected people are going to be angry and condescending when you basically voted in a snake oil salesman into the White House on a few half baked promises he will never fulfill to the satisfaction of his vote bank, leaving America as poor as a churchmouse once his "plans" are realized.
By the way, those jobs aren't going to ever come back.

I'm in the process of migrating to the U.S. and I'm extremely familiar with civics and law, more so than most regular people due to my frequenting between here and there and the immigration process. Don't see shadows where there are none.

wow dude look at that broad generalization. close to 2 million people (if not more i dont have exact figures in front of me) protested trump and they are all just a bunch of condescending crybabies? is that what you're getting at? do you realize how hypocritical you ar ebeing right now? ive talked to lots of protesters who are way more level headed and reasonable than some of the trump supporters ive met/know.
And pretty much half the other country did.
voter turnout was down, and he still lost the popular vote. No matter what way you want to spin it, the majority clearly didn't want him in office.
And you don't even seem to know what the word Fascist even means.
sounds more hollow every day

He sure as shit seems to be putting his foot in it and getting his promises sorted to me.

the insane narcissist thats actively trying to undermine the rights of millions of people
but keep parroting that line, maybe eventually youll realize how retarded you sound
All Trump had to do was ban TPP and not do anything for the next 4 years. It was that simple. Now he's gone and ruined it by trying to get that stupid wall built and all the other dumb junk.

If you're going to dismiss my claims with anecdotes I'm going to validate them with anecdotes.
The answer is sadly a sizable number of them actually think this.
do they? or do they care about climate change? the economy? his stance on vaccinations? stripping rights from people? muzzling scientists? I could go on but you guys just totally miss it every single time.
A very democratic election when the other guy wins by -3 million votes don't you think
Its funny, cause the republicans were whining about how the election system sucks balls in America but praise it when they get the candidate they want.
And I bet you the democrats wouldn't complain if they got the person everyone expected.

"LOCK HER UP!"
"Oh, we don't wanna lock her up now, that was just during the campaign. We won, she doesn't need to be locked up"
"BUILD THE WALL AND MAKE MEXICO PAY FOR IT!"
"and by make mexico pay for it, i mean use taxpayer money to fund it."
Everything else has been via executive actions, which I could've sworn that when Obama used them, the GOP raked him over the coals...hmm...
You first started with an anecdote lmao
What's your point? We're on equal footing.
If you're going to dismiss my claims with anecdotes I'm going to validate them with anecdotes.
your post i was responding to was an anecdote durrrr

The resting case between Obama and Trumps execution of executive orders is people in my position see him as fixing the mistakes Obama created.

So what, presidents in the past have won without the popular vote before and didn't have people throw riots in the streets day 1.
It's overreaction plain and simple. Go ahead and protest, but some of the behavior and rhetoric put out there from the protesters is insanity.
What's your point? We're on equal footing.
my point is that you easily dismiss 2 million people with an anecdote, then dismiss me because i used an anecdote counter to yours
I'm going to miss these conversations when Trump guts net neutrality.
I don't want to miss people realising that electing him might not have been a good idea.

i remember when "Czar Obama" was in vogue with the republicans. funny how things change so quickly
Resist what? Democratically elected leaders? Wtf is this crap.
Resist a pseudo-fascist president who is attempting to implement an anti-woman, anti-science, and anti-education policy, manipulating the media and using "alternative facts" and gag orders?
Not to mention "the wall", politics-driven healthcare repeal, federal hiring freeze, etc
He sure as shit seems to be putting his foot in it and getting his promises sorted to me.
You read between the lines or not, like you accuse other people of not doing?
That wall isn't going to be a Great Wall of America but some shitty chain-link fence people will cut holes into or throw illegal goods over with a catapult or a drone.
The jobs he promised to bring back will be overshadowed by a spate of job losses so serious we might be looking at another depression. As I said before, those low level manufacturing jobs are all but gone already, and aren't coming back.
Lock Her Up ring any bells?
Also how about making mexico pay for the wall first instead of building it with American dollars and then making them pay?
And considering all the other lies he's said, I can't wait for him to backpedal on more promises.
