Dumb person missing the point. I am doing two things: -Stating that Pope Francis is kind of a hypocrite when he calls for peace everywhere else but here. -Correcting an asinine assumption that ISIS is attempting to exterminate all Christians, everywhere.
thanks for the flame guy. sick burn. The point i'm making is how do you have peace with people who will attack you regardless of whether you want peace or not?
Did he execute order 66?
wrong pope

The pope is the leader of the Christian world, and as the leader he has to do what he can to defend his people. Any leader that doesn't take measures to prevent his/her people from being annihilated is just a bad leader. Obama can call for peace around the world but as soon as someone starts systematically executing Americans just for being American, you bet your sweet ass he's gonna do something to stop them.
In these cases, where there is an unjust aggression, I can only say that it is licit to stop the unjust aggressor," Francis said. "I underscore the verb 'stop.' I'm not saying 'bomb' or 'make war,' just 'stop.' And the means that can be used to stop them must be evaluated."
I guess he is referencing force in the abstract but it definitely does not have to connotations that such a title would lead us to assume. He is the head of a religious organisation devoted to peacemaking - Force in this sense is far removed from military force. i.e: Very Misleading.
