he's right just pirate this flash game
It was a GameMaker game (goddamn achievement if you know what GameMaker usually results in), now it's on a custom engine with modding support.
That... was actually pretty fantastic.
I prefer this one.
A friend showed me this news, I love the stance these developers are taking... Australia's ratings board is such a load of horse shit. I actually JUST started playing Hotline Miami yesterday, and I LOVE IT. I was juuuust starting to get hyped for HM2 when I saw the news it was refused classification, THEN my friend showed me this... Brilliant. Still want to pay for it though, somehow. They deserve the dosh.
he's right just pirate this flash game
And minecraft runs on the goldsrc engine. What is arstyle.
And minecraft runs on the goldsrc engine. What is arstyle.
I love games with good artstyle. It can make non-detail rich games look fucking incredible. Don't believe me? Look at ANYTHING Nintendo has released within the past year. Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros 4 are great examples. Maybe they aren't cutting edge in the graphics department, but you can't deny the games simply look and feel good.
Damn decent of the dev. Should set up something through GOG where people can get a code for Steam to get the Payday 2 bonus items, and then use GOG to circumvent Steam's DRM controls and region locks to allow people to legitimately buy it. Since even if people VPN'd or traded to get a Steam copy, Valve can elect to use a hard region lock that disables the game based on where you're connected from. Fuck the Australian censorship Nazis.
Nazis is the wrong term, try "Fascist liberal left" (User was permabanned for this post ("You're not learning from your bans, time to take out the trash" - SteveUK))
isn't it still possible to use a proxy to buy out of region games on steam?
isn't it still possible to use a proxy to buy out of region games on steam?
It's pretty risky in terms of getting your account banned though, way worse than just using a proxy to unlock a game you already own.
Nazis is the wrong term, try "Fascist liberal left"
Except the classification board is literally made up of middle-aged white conservatives, so they're not really liberal or left-wing.
Nazis is the wrong term, try "Fascist liberal left"
Fascists aren't left wing and neither are the conservative Liberal party. Try again.
As an Aussie, I don't want to pirate their game; I love Devolver Digital and Hotline Miami, I want to give them my money and show my support for the game, but the government doesn't allow that. I just find it odd that our government is the same one that advocates using VPN's to get access to region locked content and to avoid price gouging, and then says "well you can't buy this game because we don't think adults should see it".

It might be on Steam anyway if Valve ignores the Oz censors, so there may be hope yet.
It was a GameMaker game (goddamn achievement if you know what GameMaker usually results in), now it's on a custom engine with modding support.
Hey, don't dock GameMaker too hard. One of my favorite indie games ever, Iji, comes from it too. :v:
Hey, don't dock GameMaker too hard. One of my favorite indie games ever, Iji, comes from it too. :v:
Both Risk of Rain and Nuclear throne are game maker games too.
I'm kinda concerned about the map editor and probable Steam Workshop support. You can't manually download files from the steam workshop (may be wrong on this tho), so how are the Australian players gonna play custom maps? wait I just found about the steam workshop downloader never fucking mind
What happens to the steam store page? Its still up for me
It's incredible how out of touch with reality old people are. And sadly, we'll all end up the same way, given enough time. That's the depressing thing about the human psyche, the older you are, the more opposed to progress and innovation you become.
Both Risk of Rain and Nuclear throne are game maker games too.
Gunpoint too iirc
yeah but thats still not a good thing to brag about lmao
hey now
get fucked cunt i dont break the law aye cunt
Its mighty noble of them to suggest pirating their game when it becomes otherwise unavailable for enjoyment by a rather large demographic.
Wtf does this have to with Hotline Miami 2 or this thread.
The fact that the classification board is made up of old people who are out of touch with reality?

Next, you have to give them your soul in the name of killer mask man. [editline]19th January 2015[/editline]
get fucked cunt i dont break the law aye cunt
...
