[QUOTE=HoodedSniper;49533730]The rerelease was even more horrifying. Brett Helquist is a fine illustrator, but there was no way he was going to be able to live up to the originals. Not in terms of scaring the crap out of people. [editline]15th January 2016[/editline] In case anyone here doesn't know who that is, he did the illustrations for A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Which were great for what they supposed to represent. I just think he had a real tough act to follow, and horror illustration just maybe isn't his niche. [editline]15th January 2016[/editline] It's possible that they just wanted to put something tamer out that would be more accessible to younger children or whatever, so if that's the case, then good job, I guess.
Oh god yes. If we get the Del Toro-Kojima-Ito trinity that was supposed to get us Silent Hills for this movie that's gonna be THE horror movie
Aaand I totally miss The Red Spot. Another late night for me! :dead: Wonder how it's gonna go down though; will it be a full movie based on one of the stories? Is it going to be a compilation of stories ala Creepshow? [T]http://deadshirt.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/creepshow_poster_01.jpg[/T] Also, if you're an idiot like me and search for these pics, you'll hit a few that are [I]animated gifs.[/I] Pure Nightmare Fuel.
Nope nope nope [editline]15th January 2016[/editline] How is Catcher in the Rye banned but this shit was apparently in every school library
[QUOTE=Kylel999;49538405]Nope nope nope [editline]15th January 2016[/editline] How is Catcher in the Rye banned but this shit was apparently in every school library[/QUOTE] It's been tried, and it's still in the top ten of top 100 of the most controversial/banned books of all time. #7 in fact. [url]http://www.ala.org/bbooks/top-100-bannedchallenged-books-2000-2009[/url] It's probably not anymore because the re-releases had new images to compensate, and the old ones were taken off the shelves. However, in 2014 the books were revived due to fan outcry of the new images and now the old and the new share the library space.
