Adult Swim sometimes has had a few funny and original shows, but there were too many that were trying way too hard to be funny or original.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force? It was very funny, although it could be pretty gruesome at times. It's too bad that they put so much effort towards the movie that they ran out of any good content, and it steadily turned into a flop.
Saul of the Molemen? It almost seemed like it had a chance, but then it became apparent that it was 15 minutes of a guy in a jumpsuit and people in mole costumes dancing around a green screen with lame humor and lame plots.
It's too bad that there's more shows like Saul of the Molemen than Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Am I just someone who doesn't "get" alternative comedy? Probably. I just don't like shows that depend entirely on overkill or dramatic, incredibly uncomfortable or off-putting scenes.

I wouldn't say ATHF is a flop, I still get a good laugh out of it, I don't think it is losing its touch
