Going around blowing up innocent civilians and then removing yourself from human retribution in favour of a promised paradise? Pretty cowardly.
Suicide bombing is a tactic. It's hilarious you guys think that those evil little brown people are only doing this because they hate jesus and love allah. That any potential political reasons is silly and possiblity of America being at fault is insane.
It is if I sent you in too.
Except in this case, they didn't. They had high casualties, that doesn't win the war. [editline]06:46PM[/editline]
He's a troll, do as I have and put him on your ignore list. Once you stop giving him attention he starts getting desperate for it and gets himself banned. Trulz are lulzy.
And here Professional goes, saying that any opposing opinion is trolling. Seriously, you have yet to say how I'm trolling. [editline]06:46PM[/editline] professional, you're an idiot.
Fuck UAVs, get out the minihelicopter with minigun attachment .
Urgh. "Sharpshooters"? Compared to what the coalition has been dealing with for the past few years, an enemy "sharpshooter" probably qualifies anyone who can manage to use iron-sights correctly.

Compared to what the coalition has been dealing with for the past few years, an enemy "sharpshooter" probably qualifies anyone who can manage to use iron-sights correctly.
As I said in the other thread, alot of the Taliban fighting today are veterans of the Soviet-Afghan war, and there are more than a handful of dedicated training schools for the taliban and other allied groups in and around Afghanistan. They might not have the level of training given to say a US Army marksman, but at the same time it's not like they just went "hurf durf, imma grab a rifle and shoot at some people for lulz". Also, like I said in the other thread, I still think a level of respect should be given to them, they might not have the latest and greatest equipment, but most of them are experienced fighters.
hahaha, yes, because it's all about "killing infidels" i mean, glenn back told me so, it must be true
Yes, there's more to it than that, but that is certainly a major reason. I don't even watch, listen to, or like Glenn Beck so you can go fuck yourself. [editline]02:25PM[/editline]
Urgh. "Sharpshooters"? They especially know the terrain.
Yes, there's more to it than that, but that is certainly a major reason. I don't even watch, listen to, or like Glenn Beck so you can go fuck yourself.
you really think this shit would still be going on if there wasn't political aspect
you really think this shit would still be going on if there wasn't political aspect
I never said that so don't even start with your false assumptions.
I never said that so don't even start with your false assumptions.
you said the religiosity is a major element. Remove the political element. By you saying it's a major party, you're insinuating the religiosity would guarantee a possibility this shit will still go on.
you said the religiosity is a major element. Remove the political element. By you saying it's a major party, you're insinuating the religiosity would guarantee a possibility this shit will still go on.
They both play a part, but religion is the biggest reason as to why we're fighting. Look at how many wars/conflicts religion has played a part in. The "war on terror" is just another example.
I don't despite religion, but I hate when people fight over it
It's pathetic that we have to use mortars, artillery, helicopter attack gunships and an airstrike to take out a few taliban sharpshooters and a machinegun [editline]f[/editline] Honestly I was going to snip this after realizing it was sort of dumb but marines worth millions of dollars per person using equipment that also costs millions of dollars not being able to best a bunch of raggedy guerilla snipers who probably aren't even carrying a thousand bucks worth of equipment is just ridiculous.
Uhh, would you like to be the one looking for the sniper who already has his sights on you? Is he 500m out? 1000m? Maybe he's just in some hills to your south, oh, maybe the hills to the east. Oh shit, you're dead!
They both play a part, but religion is the biggest reason as to why we're fighting. Look at how many wars/conflicts religion has played a part in. The "war on terror" is just another example.
So if they were Christian, there wouldn't be fighting?
They both play a part, but religion is the biggest reason as to why we're fighting. Look at how many wars/conflicts religion has played a part in. The "war on terror" is just another example.
What? We got over the whole idea of going out on Crusades centuries ago. Religion has nothing to do with this. This is about taking out a regime that was harbouring terrorists and then installing a stable government. It wouldn't make any difference if they were Jewish, Christian or Sikh. I would have thought that the name 'War on Terror' would be pretty self explanatory of why we are fighting. Unless you like people flying aircraft into buildings and exploding bombs on buses? Also, I never thought this would happen, but I agree with Trotsky for once.

Talibans are humans too, they stand and fight for what they believe, and so do we. Many people here are like brainwashed retards yelling nonsense because they think everything the NATO fights against is evil and terrorist

Many of the 'Taliban' insurgents are only fighting for them out of fear of reprisal - not because of what they believe in.

And on top of that, NATO had supplied them with weapons to fight off the russians. They won the war, but their country is utterly in ruins. And find themselfs alone when no-one wants to help them anymore. Be honest here, do you think they all are evil terrorists with nothing in their mind but destroying the capitalist pigs and stealing their delicious pie?
Can't we just nuke them, it's not like anything good ever came out of that country anyway.
Other than, you know, HUMANITY.
This is a fucking joke. Why wouldn't you just hunt them down when the sun sets instead of letting them come back the next day? You have night optics, use them!!!! Terrible commanders are to blame in this particular circumstance. If history has taught us anything it's that war against guerrillas is never worth it. Neither is war against gorillas.
Night optics hinder your depth perception. It's no good trying to search a house for an enemy fighter using them, you'll usually end up tripping and not to mention missing your target when you come to fire.
Don't worry, UAVs will find 'em. Nothing shows up quite so obviously on thermal imaging better than gunfire.
But if they can't find them in the first place how will they get the required number of kills to call it in?!

let's just kill em to teeny tiny pieces
