Portal developer quit Valve because they were too "hardcore" - Polidicks

for those rating me late, this was a followup about what she's doing now.

I'm surprised no-one has posted the obligatory "So-hardcore" image yet. I'm glad she left, my cousin went to Valve back in 2007/8 and said that the only problem was this one lady and that she was quite the asshole. If I recall correctly, it was this girl.

Portal 2 was extremely easy. There was hints everywhere. The only time it got difficult was in a few puzzles of the 2 player co-op, mostly due to co-operation issues.

I didn't really feel like Portal 2's single player had any real puzzles. They introduced mechanics and then just you think they'd start using them in clever ways you get to the next set of massively overblown setpiece areas with three white panels to go from one end to the other.

Other than half life, valve makes like, the most light hearted games ever.

What I meant was: If a child at the age of three can play portal, it isn't fucking hardcore (and anybody should be able too,). I mean how CASUAL can you get? Even my mom was able to play left4dead, and she doesn't even touch videogames.

ITT: we judge people based on nothing it's pretty obvious she means puzzle games for the wider audience. while portal 2 was in essence a puzzle game, it was totally marketed towards the FPS crowd.
