I can max every game that has come out on my 560ti except BF4, but that's the game's fault from what I've heard. I don't see the point in upgrading until GTAV comes to PC or some other game that is heavily graphics intensive. I'm sure I could run Titanfall on medium, too.
All I want from my computer is the ability to turn into a cockpit for Star Citizen.
I went out and bought a 780 just now as soon as I heard the news. Oh fuck oh fuck were gonna be poor
When I had sli 670s 2gb and 1440p, everything went fine. My skyrim folder was over 30gb with textures and what not. Not saying don't get the 4gb, but if you are at 1080p and wanna save some cash, 2gb is still fine and will be fine for a good time.
I used to hit my max limit on 3gb when i had a ramdisk that was 16-20gb and played crysis 2 HD with 4k textures. It was amazing, but there were a lot of problems with streaming the textures. That's the only problem i ever had with that setup, so realistically you shouldn't run into problems with anything soon.
I'll wait for the 800 series Nvidia cards.
I've got a GT 240 I'd say I'm pretty good.
No price drops in Australia...
leaks (though I dont know how credible) show that the TI is only gonna be about 3% faster than the 780. So buy a 780 and OC it 3% and hey you saved about $100
I really need to start ordering custom build, but I don't know shit about these numbers. [editline]30th October 2013[/editline] And I don't even know which one's the best.
fuck you I just bought a 770 seriously fuck off omg whyyyy fuuuuuuuck
yeh I think that you're fine for pretty much every game that isn't planetside 2
yeh I think that you're fine for pretty much every game that isn't planetside 2
I was deadset on 770 so its more about how I could have gotten a better SSD becaue the GPU is cheaper [editline]30th October 2013[/editline] also I will be shit on by Bad Rats and Day one
My theory is that this is a card to demonstrate G-sync with a slight performance increase. I really wish ATI (I'm nostalgic) would release something that really beats the Titan into the ground so I can buy a cheaper Titan, what people seem to forget is that a card can may become outdated, but if it's lying on the shelf of a computer shop it will still perform the same as it did on the release date. I want a Titan for all the double precision stuff which will help with GPU rendering and Maya.
Content with my 670, need to get an I7 chip though once the price dies down. Newer games are pretty much demanding it over the I5.
I need to update my processor before I buy anything else, but if I would buy a GPU, it would be the 770. Budget won't allow the Ti version :(
Content with my 670, need to get an I7 chip though once the price dies down. Newer games are pretty much demanding it over the I5.
There's no real difference between the i5 and the i7 besides hyperthreading. Just get a high-end K-series i5 and OC it to 4-5ghz and that will do it for you.
460 GTX and I don't feel like I need an upgrade what are you people talking about? Sounds a bit spoiled to me.
Yeah at this point nothing really seems to need anything new at all
I'm honestly wondering if the jump is enough considering BF4 can't even run properly for fuck sake.
Huh, do you play at 4k or something BF4 was smooth like butter on my 580@1680*1050
I bought a 780 two months ago, I just hope the performance difference isn't enough to cry over.
All I want from my computer is the ability to turn into a cockpit for Star Citizen.
Oculus Riiiiiiifffttt :flashfap:
I'm on a 580 and a xenon e5645, is it worth upgrading yet?
not really no you're fine to skip this generation plus i'm tired of AMD's 28nm refreshings, i want some 15nm action (or whatever is next in line)
The fact that Nvidia could slash the price by such a wide margin shows you how much of a premium they're charging to begin with
It is just about the only thing they make, they have to support the whole company off the high end products they sell.
Only if you are doing something that specifically uses that memory. If you aren't rendering stuff or using 3 monitors or somesuch, there is no point. The 4GB cards are usually binned at higher clockrates, but beyond that, very few people are going to benefit from having that much memory available. It's the same deal as putting 16 gigs of RAM in a gaming system. Nothing will use it so 8 is fine.
Funny, my laptop has one of these teeny mobile GPU's and it manages to have more capacity than the full sized models. My laptop also has 16 GB of ram too so I guess I'm just in excess!
It is just about the only thing they make, they have to support the whole company off the high end products they sell.
Some people won't be happy until they just break even.

Nothing as of yet has been unplayable and with tweaking can't hit the 60FPS mark at 1920x1080. One of my better $300 investments. Still waiting for another one to arise in the market. You have got to be shitting on my dick. I bought a 770 a week ago. Fuck you, capitalism.
Aw yiss new pc you just got cheaper.

I still have a 650, not the ti but the base model Do you think it's time for me to upgrade to a 770?
So when will this actually happen in practicality? I'm looking to swap out my two 560 Ti and get two cards that actually match my other specs
not really no you're fine to skip this generation plus i'm tired of AMD's 28nm refreshings, i want some 15nm action (or whatever is next in line)
Ehmm, AMD kinda only did one 28nm refresh. The 6*** series were all 40nm.
