Illegal, can't happen.
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." We're not electing him president, so it's 100% legal.
Please, no. Biden is cool and all but he's not what we need. There were a lot of things behind the Democratic loss this year, but one of the big ones was lack of positive energy and message. Liberals need to be a least a little bit revolutionaries. You need to talk about making things better by tearing down the walls, taking down The Man, let-my-people-go. And revolution is for the young. Bernie talked the talk, but even he couldn't light the fires that would get people to go out and vote for him. Biden doesn't even talk like a rebel. American Liberalism needs newer, younger leaders, who still have that drive and energy to tilt at windmills, full of new ideas of What Liberal America Should Be. Who are they? I don't know. What are their ideas? I don't know. But better an unknown person with new ideas than more of the same old stale politicians and politics.
Kanye is a lock sorry joe
Kanye'd run republican if his current choice of candidate is anything to go by.

Someone ineligible for the Presidency is ineligible for the Vice-Presidency.
Since when have we let silly little amendments get in our way?
ayy obama and bush may have slapped the constitution in the face, but presidential elections are one thing the public is aware of.
one term = 4 years two terms = 8 years dunno where you get 10 from.
Because if the person is VP first but the president gets assassinated, then they become president and counts towards the amount of time they can be president. So if the president were to be assassinated 2 years into their term, the VP would fill in for the rest of the term(2 years) and is eligible for 2 terms (2+4*2=10)
Amtrak Joe is all I ever wanted, he could have done it a lot more easily than Hillary this year.
I thought he wouldn't. He's a good pick but I'd rather have new, younger Democrats running like Tulsi Gabbard.
I love how people are cheering about this, but he's basically hillary but without dirt on him. His policies are center-right non-progressive, he just has a good speaking voice, and if he gets put on a pedestal, democrats will probably lose in 2020.
With the way that the republican party is going they'll manufacture dirt on him anyway.
ayy obama and bush may have slapped the constitution in the face, but presidential elections are one thing the public is aware of.
Lol barely. By the end of the dem primaries there were still millions of voters who had no idea who Sanders was, no one bothered to pay attention to the shit Trump had been saying offhandedly despite having it aired across CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and every other opinion programming station you or I can think of. In the end, we still ended up with Trump despite all the evidence and the proven track record that he is a fraud and tax dodging crook.
I wish Elon was running in 2020, enough of these career politicians..
Unlike hillary, who is also a public figure, people actually like Biden, him being in the public eye isn't really much of a big deal, just as long as you can LIKE him as a candidate.
Hillary was pretty well liked for most of the Obama term. It wasn't until just before she announced her campaign, and the email stuff first made headlines, that she began to tumble. Point is that it's hard to predict what the people will think of you when you begin campaigning, and when scandal invariably arises.
Won't this just, once again, split the vote between him and presumably Bernie, effectively handing the election to the opposition?
That's what primaries are for.
i see the dnc picked who they want to run in 2020
I wish Elon was running in 2020, enough of these career politicians..
Elon is from South Africa.
Most people didn't even know Biden existed until the meme started. Seems like a bad idea.
Biden + Gabbard
Most people didn't even know Biden existed until the meme started. Seems like a bad idea.
Most people didn't know we had a vice president huh
If we can meme Donald Trump into the White House, then we can meme Biden in there too.
you won't outmeme /pol/ and their power of repeating digits and praise of the god of chaos, pleb.
This is a hilarious and welcome twist.
Sanders might not run himself, but throw his weight behind a new candidate (Gabbard?) who will definitely be what the DNC needs right now. I'd be willing to pledge my support to that movement today. Biden's a great speaker and has good policies, but if he runs on Obama 3.0 he will lose.

The ticket can start Bernie/Tulsi, but it should be made completely clear that he may have to step down due to health or otherwise sometime during his presidency. Pipedream.
John Stewart as VP pls
Most people didn't even know Biden existed until the meme started. Seems like a bad idea.
uhhh you what
obama as VP please keep the bromance going
That would be fucking incredible
I'd rather Bernie and Tulsi run a campaign on equal footing. Pipedream.
Nah I'd rather Tulsi just run with some other young progressive and Bernie gives his endorsement to her and goes campaigning. Seeing as Tulsi was there with Bernie not too long after he began his campaign all the way to the end I'm sure she can rouse the youth vote and say she was loyal to the revolution.
I wish Elon was running in 2020, enough of these career politicians..
Our next president isn't a career politician.
If we can meme Donald Trump into the White House, then we can meme Biden in there too.
Nice try. Bernie is next. [editline]6th December 2016[/editline]
Our next president isn't a career politician.
I never said I had anything against Trump, it's just disappointing to see that things could go back to the status quo in 4 years
You say career politician, I say person who knows what the fuck they're doing.
