Idk. Tulsi has a little bit of conservative dirt on her from the far past. I'd like Nina Turner or, hell, Cornel fucking West to run for president. West isn't exactly young but he's so crazy smart
Should've been Biden/Warren this year. In 4 years he'll be too old, and Democrats should be looking for new ideas.
Please, no. Biden is cool and all but he's not what we need. There were a lot of things behind the Democratic loss this year, but one of the big ones was lack of positive energy and message. Liberals need to be a least a little bit revolutionaries. You need to talk about making things better by tearing down the walls, taking down The Man, let-my-people-go. And revolution is for the young. Bernie talked the talk, but even he couldn't light the fires that would get people to go out and vote for him. Biden doesn't even talk like a rebel. American Liberalism needs newer, younger leaders, who still have that drive and energy to tilt at windmills, full of new ideas of What Liberal America Should Be. Who are they? I don't know. What are their ideas? I don't know. But better an unknown person with new ideas than more of the same old stale politicians and politics.
Would just like to poke a little hole in that argument there. There are plenty of people (myself included) who would've voted for Bernie if he made it but couldn't vote in Democratic primaries, being independent voters and whatnot.

Wouldn't matter at all and plus he'd given his backing towards Hilary anyway. If you're asking about primaries it's because I literally couldn't vote in those because I don't belong to a political party.
obama as VP please keep the bromance going
Because they had a bromance, that qualifies for his presidency? Do you even know the laws or work these people do or do you only look at memes that tell you a fairy tale?
Should've been Biden/Warren this year. The candidates that should be the DNC nominee should be Warren, Gabbard(maybe), West, or hell Sanders if they finally wake up, or a new candidate that is essentially Obama 3.0, but more liberal. Of course, chances are, they will think "Hillary deserves a 3rd chance doesn't she?" if she runs again.

I'd like to see Bernie and Tulsi run against each other in the primaries, make the show about them. Because no matter who wins between the two of them, we get a solid candidate, and the other can either be VP or Staffer.
With the way that the republican party is going they'll manufacture dirt on him anyway.
They won't have to manufacture anything. Biden already has done retarded things. Most of what I saw was around gun control. But still, quite retarded. In a Q&A he literally told people to buy a double barrel shotgun and to fire warning shots with it. Tactically, its absolutely retarded. You only have two shots with a double barrel shotgun. And in most jurisdictions firing warning shots is heavily illegal. For instance, in Texas, warning shots are considered unlawful use of deadly force. Then he was caught telling a group of people that all that gun control they were pushing for he knew that it wasn't going to change anything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_LEfNFMAys <- double barrel shotgun comment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=covBtaBoR1g <- Biden telling others that gun control doesn't work in private And I'm pretty sure Biden has made other retarded statements. I think the Democrats would be better off finding new people to fill in the party.
Please dont, we want bernie
Please no. He's a very likable dude, but policy-wise he's really not dissimilar to Hillary.
That's actually all a lot of people would want, really. I mean, I love bernie all the way so I'd prefer him in a heartbeat but I think one of the biggest reasons Hillary lost is nobody trusted her or liked her.
The biggest reason Clinton lost is because she ran a shit campaign and didn't get people to go out and vote for her. I honestly think that nobody flipped or changed their opinion this time around - it's just that only 50% went out and voted.
That's actually all a lot of people would want, really. I mean, I love bernie all the way so I'd prefer him in a heartbeat but I think one of the biggest reasons Hillary lost is nobody trusted her or liked her.
My gut feeling says that would be demonstrably false. the heart of the voter clearly was with bernie, the 'lets just vote for the obvious winner for some reason' was most of hillaries vote base.
Shame he didn't run this year
Shame he didn't run this year
Can the Vice President even run for President while he's serving?
Can the Vice President even run for President while he's serving?
I think so but I'm not well versed on us law
Can the Vice President even run for President while he's serving?
Yes, it's actually quite common. The most recent examples would be George Bush Sr & Al Gore.
obama as VP please keep the bromance going
This isn't Russia.
Yes, it's actually quite common. The most recent examples would be George Bush Sr & Al Gore.

Al Gore.

Al Gore.
And this is why it should never happen again.
No. He might be a cool person, but I don't want him as president, not now, Democrats need someone like Bernie, if not, I have a feeling Trump will win re-election.
No. He might be a cool person, but I don't want him as president, not now, Democrats need someone like Bernie, if not, I have a feeling Trump will win re-election.
if Biden actually looked at where Clinton went wrong (hint: the rust belt) then i think he's got a pretty decent shot, considering Trump's anti-establishment credentials have gone up in smoke in less than a month. i'd bet by 2020 he'll just be a generic "took er jerbs" Republican like Ted Cruz or George W or whoever the fuck, campaigning on complete nonsense in lieu of being the outsider maverick or the "maybe he could be good" wild card. i mean obviously i'd prefer the DNC went further left too, but looking at Clinton's and Trump's follies i don't think it's quite as necessary as you're making it out to be
I feel like if clinton went back and undid one of her handful of mistakes she would have won it and we wouldn't be discussing whether jews are people.
Would just like to poke a little hole in that argument there. There are plenty of people (myself included) who would've voted for Bernie if he made it but couldn't vote in Democratic primaries, being independent voters and whatnot.
He still lost plenty of states with open primaries. The difference from independents wouldn't have been enough to change the outcome.
I like Biden personally and agree with a lot of his politics but I don't see Democrats winning in 2020 without a solid populist candidate and I really don't see Biden in that role. Unless of course Trump's presidency is a clusterfuck trainwreck in which case presumably anyone can run against him.
The last thing america needs after trump is fucking Biden
That's actually all a lot of people would want, really. I mean, I love bernie all the way so I'd prefer him in a heartbeat but I think one of the biggest reasons Hillary lost is nobody trusted her or liked her.
But the problem with this is we'll be right in the same position we were for 2016 with the populace feeling left out and betrayed by current neoliberal policies and clamoring for something new, opening them up to dangerous shit like Trump. The new democrat coalition just needs to die out
Rebuild the New Deal coalition. Sanders is at his core a New Deal Democrat, and that's what the people have been clamoring for if his campaign was anything to go by.
Rebuild the New Deal coalition. [editline]6th December 2016[/editline] I think it's pretty wrong to say nobody liked Hillary. If nobody liked Hillary she wouldn't have won the popular vote.
