Denny's to charge 5% 'Obamacare surcharge' and cut employee hours in responce to Obamacare

Keep in mind this is a guy who owns 40 denny's, not the whole corperation. The whole corperation could probably afford to ensure everyone.
Also what evidence is there to support that Obamacare will bring the overall cost of healthcare down, with taxes weighed?

Try to reword that- overall cost as in price of care per capita? Because it likely won't, but the increase in spending looks to be on the order of fractions of a percent.
That also isn't taking into consideration the quality of care end of things, which will go up. If you're asking overall cost, per capita, taking into consideration quality of care, then there's a cost reduction given the improved loss ratios.
I'm not surprised at businesses doing this. Business owners will always look for reasons to screw their employees and ensure their profit margins are always as high as possible. We know just as well as they do that these companies would be fine so as long as they changed up some of their business practices.

A dump like Denny's hires 35 employees per restaurant? I'm calling bullshit - Either he's lying out of his ass , just spouting random numbers, or he's shit at math. Maybe all three.

That's heartwarming, but I don't think we want kids running things. On the contraire, it maybe it'd be better than how things are now. v:v:v
I like Denny's :c
Oh really? You ever run a business?
The rest of the world does it pretty well, you know.
I wonder how this is going to affect the company I work for. I'm fairly certain we passed the 50 threshold this year.
Nevermind I just got fired.
-sigh-
This is why Obamacare is a horrible compromise.
We need to institute a socialized healthcare system so that it doesn't directly affect businesses, but rather everybody pays into it, and the wealthy do so not per amount of employees, but rather by their profits, and there's no way someone would reduce personal profits over taxes, it's silly.
Oh I see now. It's not Obamacare that's going to cause "The Fall of America." It's the dumbass people who live in it that do stupid shit like this that will.

Over on some of the far right websites I go to* people are encouraging each other to withhold as much money from the economy as possible. It's like they're purposely trying to destroy the economy because they didn't get their way.
* = I read their comments as a hobby, it's strangely entertaining but also saddening and sometimes scary or frusterating.

Well it's this neutered version or nothing at all.
Thanks to the Republicans.
