Have fun buying everything![/QUOTE]
It's kind of sad reading the comments on that article. All those players so excited for the free money and the new outfit. They had no clue that in 4 days, their dreams would be crushed.

This, I would be down
Seems to have something to do with the graphics card. I have a GTX 780.
Apparently some people running on ATI 7XXX series are having issues as well.
This game literally was the biggest part of my child hood. I find it so depressing just to hear it closing down.
Shit, I played this up until like two years ago. It was pretty addicting, and an easy enough MMO to grasp for someone like me who hadn't played one before.
Sad to see it go.

Holy hell that's a video I made when I was like 10. Man I was a stupid kid back then. Like, looking at my channel, I'm pretty embarrassed.

We should populate one that's usually always quiet.
Damn, it's been 10 years already? My life's just been whizzing by...
"Everyone can log in for free" wow, that's a cool price, I never played this but I might give it one shot now.
Man I feel like hopping back into this, does anyone want to get some True Friends together and just have a go while it lasts?
If anyone does want to have a go, here's a few codes:
TT dhn g2m
TT z8h 9w5
TT wtr 9xg
TT kpg zp7
TT jd5 qbq
Anyone wanna get together and help my secondary main collect Cashbot parts?
I remember this game so much. I wish I got farther into it but I never was able to.
Funny how this game has actually outlived a bunch of MMOs.
I, uh... I have a confession to make.
I had no idea this was a thing until just now.

its got a lot of signatures, plus I read that the original developer of TT is attempting to buy it back from Disney to keep it running. I would definitely get back into this if it stays free
I played this all the time when I was younger but my computer could barely handle it, so everything was all blocky and slow. Sometimes the player models would randomly turn into these terrible looking things with crazy eyes and block hands. I thought this was really funny back then, so once I figured out how to take screenshots I saved a picture of this happening and it's been on my computer all this time. (Bonkers Fumblepow was me and Lady Kitten was my best friend's character)

For some reason I also took screenshots and added my own commentary to them (I think they were supposed to go together in some kind of story, but I only found a couple of them so I'll never know what it was :c). I also wrote a script for some play me and my friend were going to act out that I never finished, but I have no clue where that is.

This is really annoying. I've made it so my firewall and anti-virus consider Toontown.exe an exception, but it just simply still won't launch. I want to play this before it goes but it doesn't seem like I'll be able to.

It's probably going to be a pain in the ass due to copyright and other legal hassles, though.
Some people have suggested that he simply removes the Disney NPC's (Mickey, Donald etc.) and change the names of the playgrounds, but unfortunately it's more complicated than that. So if he does somehow manage to buy it, he would have to change and modify a LOT of aspects of the game, which would really suck but be better than nothing I suppose.
holy shit..i remember playing this a lot when I was young and loved it. just downloaded again and made a new account, nostalgia time

Toontown is a simple game, with a big enough team he could probably have a close too replica within a few months, and then add upon it. I really don't have any experience with developing a game of course so I'm sure he would have to get the money to hire people but if he's going to have enough to actually buy back the copyright I'm sure he'd have enough to hire a team.
Holy fuck i might actually cry.
I remember playing it from day one, and how god damn excited i was whenever a new HQ would come out. My friends and I would just do nothing but run the factories all day.
god I'm gonna miss this game. Rest in Peace, Toontown. ;_;
