Would the declaration of independence cease to be a primary source on its content if it were republished in a different format with an interpretation of the documented tagged on? No, at best it has the element of a secondary source. Similarly, a picture of a document is as much of a primary source as the document. Also, if you're going to reply, can you actually say something?

But this is so far beyond the point. You said primary sources couldn't exist after the fact, but it's just not true. Look at autobiographies.

It depends on when the autobiography was written. If, say, Nixon was still alive today and he decided to write an autobiography of himself dealing with the Chinese, do you honestly believe his memory of every single event will be crystal clear and exact to the real events? No.
