i dont hate cyclists on the road but tractors fuck you tractors once i got stuck behind a tractor that was stuck behind an even slower tractor, i wanted to kill myself
If people wants to cycle then they should know the risks of cycling on the British roads which are designed for motor vehicles. And accept full responsibility for any damages sustain while doing something so stupid. If I went to india foolishly driving a small car and it got crushed and I got injured, then I would be at fault because the roads there are designed for elephants. That's basically what the cyclists are doing but they think they are in the right. They have never heard of the phrase "When in Rome"
so it's fine to run over a kid crossing the road?
i dont hate cyclists on the road but tractors fuck you tractors once i got stuck behind a tractor that was stuck behind an even slower tractor, i wanted to kill myself
It's even worse when they clearly see you coming and pull out in front of you anyway.
It's even worse when they clearly see you coming and pull out in front of you anyway.
tractors are the scourge of the road, second only to taxis at night and white vans
One of my friends was cycling when some woman slowed down and drove her car next to him so her toddler son could point a laser pointer in his eyes. Don't think it's only ever cyclists who are assholes, drivers constantly forget to indicate and speed around here
well i do hate cyclists on the road so i have mixed feelings about this
Where do you want them, on the pavement? You'd hate that even more.
It's even worse when they clearly see you coming and pull out in front of you anyway.
Can't stop for everything :v:
I'm confused why do people hate cyclists so much?
Quite a few ive talked to made it sound like they owned the road, and around here, they ride as if they do own it. The government just spent a good year building a bike trail right beside the road to keep them off, they still choose the road over the bike trail. They dont get off the road when they become a serious hazard, one of my friends that drives a wrecker ended up hitting the mirror on his truck against the mirror on an oncoming UPS truck trying to avoid hitting a cyclist They choose bad roads to ride on. Twisty, hilly roads with a 45-55mph speed limit seems to be their favorite. Ive had several times where ive had to slam on brakes to avoid hitting them, then follow them going obnoxiously slow in 55mph zones around blind corners hoping i dont get rear ended, just to find a passing zone or any place i can safely go around. Also, three wheeled bicycles, holy motherfuck They actually ride those in the center of the lane, going slower than a normal bicycle. Only seen those a few times, and both times there was a dozen or so cars behind it waiting to go by
Can't stop for everything :v:
The obvious solution, then, is to speed everywhere and get there before the tractors. :v:

I do hate when they go too slow and won't go to the shoulder to let you pass, though. Not that it happens frequently.
Tbh I am on her side not the cyclists if you want to cycle everywhere go to the dutch or china. This is Britain and the British roads were build for car usages so naturally you will become ran over if you are on the roads cycling.
That's viable if its a highway or some place where people drive above 50km/h By your logic, no one can use a bike anywhere and must cough up a load of cash to get from point A to point B faster than walking.
if you're dumb enough to admit to breaking the law on a social networking site, you deserve to be punished
I never really understood this analogy.

Sorry buddy, but the Romans who built them disagree, as do all the pot holes.
I'm confused why do people hate cyclists so much?
Cyclists can transition between pedestrian and vehicle pretty easily so I guess a lot of drivers are inherently wary of that, or they simply don't treat cyclists as vehicles in the first place. Cities really should have marked bike routes though, and cyclists should use them as much as possible. It's best to avoid bicycle and cars mingling in the first place.
I don't like cyclists when: The run stop signs They run lights When they ride side-by-side When they are in the middle of the road But if they go single file along the side of the road (or even better, use the bike lane for once) then they're awesome and I have no problem. But who actually hits somebody? Then BRAGS about it?
I never really understood this analogy.
i never understood it because it implies that a crime is morally fine and dandy if you cover it up well enough [editline]21st May 2013[/editline] although it was a very helpful frame of mind for me to adopt after the triple murder
What a fucking cunt, my brother got hit by a couple of whores like her. Got run off the road by a jeep and broke his arm and they fucking laughed when they did it. Some people don't deserve to live.
I'm confused why do people hate cyclists so much?
Because society loves punishing those who make healthy choices and save money and reduce carbon with it as well
I look at cyclists as motorcycle drivers, i always give them the space they need. We share the road with these people, the road isn't just for me but for other people. If they wish to ride a bike that is what they can do. the chick in the OP is a total fucknut.
well i do hate cyclists on the road so i have mixed feelings about this
You're like the kind of person who goes to a school after a shooting and says "Well, I hate school, so I have mixed feelings about this" [editline]21st May 2013[/editline]
Tbh I am on her side not the cyclists if you want to cycle everywhere go to the dutch or china. Then BRAGS about it?
Hi, triathlete (with triathlete family) here. -Running stop signs and lights is something we try to avoid. -Side-by-side is something we try to do only on low-traffic, low-wind, wide roads / roads with multiple lanes. -The only time we've been in the middle of the road was to get up against the outside of the left turn lanes at an intersection, as you're supposed to. Obviously I cant account for the idiots who dickabout in the streets. These threads do make me sad sometimes, having been hit before. I'm into cars (you know this ((momsquad 4 lyfe)) and I still don't get it.
I don't like cyclists when: The run stop signs They run lights When they ride side-by-side When they are in the middle of the road
When they're in the middle of the road in a steep uphill and there's oncoming traffic... that's the one that most commonly gets me yelling profanities and deeply fantasizing about crushing them until there's nothing more than a fine paste left on the pavement... Unless they stay the fuck to the side at all times, I fucking resent cyclists. ...but yeah, this woman definitely took things to far. It's one thing to wish to harm someone, and a completely different thing to actually act on your urges.
I thought pedestrians/cyclists ALWAYS had the right of way?
The police had been alerted to Emma Way’s comments by twitter users shocked at her hate comment against cyclists. Ms Way was quickly identified from her Facebook page and the police were sent other examples of her poor driving: she had taken taking photographs of herself tailgating other motorists, and even photographed her speedometer showing a speed of 95mph.
She shouldn't be allowed near a steering wheel ever again.
