I don't think it was an elaborate troll, he named friends, family and events that happened in his life as well as the people he had a grudge with and then killed a guys daughter over it. I'm probably late on this, especially since I haven't read through the last 10 pages of arguments, but the LA Police Chief just dismissed everything he said in the manifesto as "internet ramblings" and stated, as fact, that Dorner was lying about everything that ever happened, no question about it. I don't know who's side I'm on yet, but I can be pretty sure it's not these guys, especially not after the truck shootings and the home invasions.

The truck pulled up to the home of one of Dorner's targets. The cops protecting the target thought it was Dorner's truck, it was newspaper delivery, and the truck's rear windows were tinted. It sure didn't help the situation when the person in the truck threw something at the house, it later was found to be a newspaper. It just my guess but thats probably why the cops shot at the truck, Dorner's trained in explosives, they could of thought it was a pipebomb. Sure the LAPD is wrong but all this half-brain "lol, why not check license plate? XD OMG cops r pigs" comments are just stupid. The guy ambushed and killed cops, Riverside PD/LAPD/Torrance PD all departments are high strung. even more retarded are the people who think that this is all a conspiracy and the LAPD wants him dead because he "knows to much" no one was killed and they'll probably sue LA for millions of dollars. I honestly think the reason he named so many people in the manifesto is so the cops won't know where hes coming from. If your objective is to destroy A, and you throw in threats against B-Z then you're gonna have more defense spread out over all of it, allowing you to get to A a lot easier, than you would have previously. And i honestly dont support the LAPD, they are corrupt as fuck. The sheer fact the leader of it dismissed "everything" as rambling, is bull shit. A straightforward guy doesnt just randomly create 3 pages of problems he has "not gone through or experienced" as a reason for a shooting, shit obviously happened.
