What's with all these statements.
Violence is never the answer
It was alright when the Government gave him a license to kill in Afghanistan. (He served in Afghanistan as a sniper) Why do they have right to take anyones life away? No one has a right. Why are they void of this criticism, capital punishment/execution is okay if a judge decided to end someones life? What right does he have, last time I checked you don't have to be a wise and honorable person to be a judge, just a crooked lawyer who fucked and stabbed their way to the top.
Holy fuck we are dealing with the black Max Payne here

There was no glory in this. I hadn't asked for this crap. Trouble had come to me, in big dark swarms. The good and the just, they were like gold dust in this city. I had no illusions. I was not one of them. I was no hero. Just me and the gun, and the crook. My options had decreased to a singular course.

The word was out. A deadly virus released into the City's corrupt circulatory system. Something wicked this way comes. Max Payne at large.

Mine wasn't the most original approach to the problem: An eye for an eye, the first principle of revenge. Old as dirt, still going strong. The cardinal rule in going after someone with an intention to kill was not to make it personal – which it almost always ended up being anyway. It did with me.
Holy shit no joke.

When you kill his daughter and fiancee it just makes it seem like a revenge killing. If he was truly interested in cleaning corruption then why is he murdering cops from a completely different city and killing innocent civilians? How does tying up old men to their boats help this goal IN ANY WAY? Also he's not a sniper, he's a marksman which is as low as it gets and only an expert with a pistol. It's marksman, sharpshooter and expert I believe. He's not some crackshot superman. Not to mention he's in the naval reserve as well not the army or something.
Doesn't sound like it.
He bought it illegally in another state using his Military and police status to acquire them more easily.
Well he supposedly hit a coin in 2-3in in diameter at !MOA. if you do the math thats around 400yards assuming is 3 inches wide [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] 4-600yards
Holy shit no joke.
Except for the fact that he was chasing the mob and not the NYPD
Except for the fact that he was chasing the mob and not the NYPD
he was actually breaking into a private company and murdering all of their legally hired armed guards so that he could kill a single high profile target and he kills a detective in MP2
They're talking about Dorner on city wide dispatch radio right now, just a description and reason for being wanted "Suspect armed and dangerous with significant tactical equipment"
he was actually breaking into a private company and murdering all of their legally hired armed guards so that he could kill a single high profile target and he kills a detective in MP2
ehh granted, he was chasing the mob at FIRST and then Aesir, and yes there was that one detective that was investigating mona, the bitch
He bought it illegally in another state using his Military and police status to acquire them more easily.
Except the part where he says he legally owns them.
Not saying I agree with the guy, but looking back at his history with the force, can't say I blame him for cracking.
Has anything similar happened in the US, or anywhere in the world for that matter? Like, some ex-cop/ex-military going rogue.

There going to have a hell of a time taking this guy out. He's educated, clever, has military training, is apparently a very good shot, and has a deep and intimate knowledge of what he's up against. He was also apparently a running back at a D1 school, so physically the guy isn't a bust-down either, listed a 6' 270.
Yeah but LAPD have helicopters with FLIR, which they were just using 10 minutes ago to fish someone out of a large yard
Yeah, and he prepared for that. He timed whatever he did to happen during a snow storm, when the choppers had to go down. I'm sure he knows all about those.
Has anything similar happened in the US, or anywhere in the world for that matter? Like, some ex-cop/ex-military going rogue.
Fort Hood shooter? There loads of enforcement/military personnel that snap and go rouge but they are apprehended relatively quickly, mainly due to their impulsive sole "shoot everyone up" goal. This guy is entirely different, he's calculated, planned this out for a while, well-equipped and highly-trained. His goals are also much different than previous impulsive shooters. None of his actions or plans were ill-thought and made rashly. He has waged war on the LAPD and declared all current officers as enemy combatants. Most shooters who go rouge do so do to mental episodic reasons and do not have any after-plans whatsoever contrary to this guy. He's only decided to wage war as a last resort (proof he didn't just "snap" without forethought) and and has repeatedly made it clear he wont stop until his objectives are met, or until he dies. "I know your TTP’s, (techniques, tactics, and procedures). Any threat assessments you you generate will be useless. This is simple, I know your TTP’s and PPR’s. I will mitigate any of your attempts at preservation. ORM is my friend. I will mitigate all risks, threats and hazards. I assure you that Incident Command Posts will be target rich environments. KMA-367 license plate frames are great target indicators and make target selection even easier. I will conduct DA operations to destroy, exploit and seize designated targets. If unsuccessful or unable to meet objectives in these initial small scale offensive actions, I will reassess my BDA and re-attack until objectives are met. I have nothing to lose. My personal casualty means nothing. Just alike AAF’s, ACM’s, and AIF’s, you can not prevail against an enemy combatant who has no fear of death. An enemy who embraces death is a lose, lose situation for their enemy combatants. Hopefully you analyst have done your homework. You are aware that I have always been the top shot, highest score, an expert in rifle qualifications in every unit I’ve been in. I will utilize every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordnance, and survival training I’ve been given. Do you know why we are unsuccessful in asymmetrical and guerrilla warfare in CENTCOM theatre of operations? I’ll tell you. It’s not the inefficiency of our combatant commanders, planning, readiness or training of troops. Much like the Vietnam war, ACM, AAF, foreign fighters, Jihadist, and JAM have nothing to lose. They embrace death as it is a way of life. I simply don’t fear it. I am the walking exigent circumstance you created. The Violence of action will be HIGH. I am the reason TAC alert was established. I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty. ISR is my strength and your weakness. You will now live the life of the prey. Your RD’s and homes away from work will be my AO and battle space. I will utilize every tool within INT collections that I learned from NMITC in Dam Neck. You have misjudged a sleeping giant. There is no conventional threat assessment for me. JAM, New Ba’ath party, 1920 rev BGE, ACM, AAF, AQAP, AQIM and AQIZ have nothing on me. Do not deploy airships or gunships. SA-7 Manpads will be waiting. As you know I also own Barrett .50′s so your APC are defunct and futile."
Am I wrong in saying this guy has been preparing for a long time? If so, judging by his ability to articulate his thoughts, he's probably got every possible situation planned out.
^That was honestly amazingly well written. Gotten give him that, and really illustrates his views. And gotta agree with him on the last point.
He has SA-7's?! WHAT? I don't believe that
It's like Grand Theft Auto in real life :v:
Except the part where he says he legally owns them.
He's a LEO, he could own these types of weapons legally for that one simple fact, but transferring an NFA weapon from Nevada (where Lock N Load is stationed and where I presume he bought them as he says he bought them in another state and Nevada is a very pro-gun state in close proximity to California) to California without the proper paperwork, regardless of LEO status, is very much illegal. If he did do the proper paperwork, then he may have legally owned them up until 2009, when he was fired, but he writes about it as if he just drove them across state borders.
It sounds like they have a helicopter pulling security at one of the stations. Don't know for sure. I'm betting that he killed himself in the woods, and that they'll find his body after the snow clears.
Based on his text he wouldn't have killed himself in the woods.
Man the LAPD must have reaaaalllly fucked up to get this guy on their trail, I haven't read one bad thing about his past which is the weirdest thing.
He's probably ignoring the good aspects of his life, attempting to make a justification for the murders.
The guy doesn't sound insane.
Who would have thought, killing somebody(s) is not always completely insane.
what am i doing snip snip
Who would have thought, killing somebody(s) is not always completely insane.
It's more than that. His motives are clean, but he has gotten a lot of people directly and indirectly hurt already. I'm interested to see what he does from here though.
Thinking about it after re-reading the manifesto, I think I see where this guy's coming from. The one, absolute surefire way to guarantee change by force is cause a panic and debate about it. When all the dust settles and this guy's out of action, people are going to say that the LAPD finally has to reform, with all of the blood on their hands. Even if they don't, this is going to be the main thing that people will cite when saying that the LAPD is corrupt and abusive. If he had made a petition online or something, there wouldn't be 17-page debates and arguments and people getting shot by the very cops he makes an example of.
